Only in the Atonement will it be found, one individual at a time.
And in the process, you will believe you are going mad.
Mental health within the illusion is not going to happen. Survival of the body and lack of death due to physical attack are not mental health signs.
Mental health begins at the premise of whom one believes one is, which is cast onto others that one perceives. We are created by God and death is not in His vocabulary.
Mental health will be found only when humanity finds itself as the Son of God and in His everlasting care.
Being “alive” is the only criteria of this witness and it comes with no dogma; only the recognition of the love the Father has for the Son and the love the Son has for the Father.
Until then, we will protect the bodies and attack the spirit of one another in the name of “protection” and “kindness” to “toughen children and subservient individuals up” and show that they must be “lacking somehow” or they would not “cave” to the mental abuse we throw at them.
Those abuses and abusers are hidden and mischievous and often behind smiles and comments such as “I love you”.
Mental health cannot even be dreamed of without the Atonement in place.
Without placing ourselves in God’s good graces through absolute absolving forgiveness, and God in His supreme and omnipotence we will subject one another (IE self in reality) to abuse, and, to me, that is the definition of mental illness.
Forgiveness of the original error of belief in separation from God and recognition of our complete reliance on Him is our only Salvation.
imho (in my humble opinion)
And as we move into this things will really start to “boil.” It must, for the thoughts that make up the illusion must be exposed so that they may be expressed, and the truth of our confusion to be made manifest in the light of that which remains “faithfully exposed by its own Light”, which is our presence in and reliance on only God, the Father.
We cannot be afraid of ourselves or have a fear of that which is not manifest. Because what you will see will be horrific. I can’t pretend anything else. When you are ready to accept the Atonement you will see how the Ego uses this world to destroy, even those it professes to love.
This is why the Holy Spirit is needed because you may feel as if you are “going to die” as you “see behind the masks of the smiles and I love you’s.”
The Holy Spirit will comfort you and bear witness of God’s Love for His Son of which you are a part. This comes from nowhere else.
Hold on and have confidence in God’s belief in us and faith in that truth that may “appear” to be unseen. And have no doubt that this will move us into an entirely different realm/place/understanding of existence.
There is no one to “follow” save the Inner Voice that declares you ARE because God IS. Without your consent to the Atonement, it cannot be fulfilled so your part is crucial and gratitude is owed to everyone else because their part is critical as well.
Be aware of what Spirit brings your way through others but trust that Inner Voice above all.
Humanity is ready to accept this or I could not be writing this post, but it will happen one individual at a time, not by the masses or with a leader as has been attempted in the past. Unless that leader can help you find your own Inner Guidance System.
Until then death and tyranny will be our lot. Fear will rule and mental illness will continue to be pandemic. Crushing humanity, yes, but more importantly, keeping us from a far greater work that we have been called to do that the human mind cannot even fathom at this time.
One heart at a time.
Till next time, God bless, bye for now.
PS
For those willing to dive deep, from A Course In Miracles:
“6. Wrong-mindedness listens to the ego and makes illusions; perceiving sin and justifying anger, and seeing guilt, disease, and death as real. ²Both this world and the real world are illusions because right-mindedness merely overlooks, or forgives, what never happened. ³Therefore it is not the One-mindedness of the Christ Mind, Whose Will is One with God’s.
*My understanding is that the Atonement puts us in right-mindedness because it is a place of seeing what we are really doing to ourselves and forgiving it because this simply could not be real.
7. In this world the only remaining freedom is the freedom of choice; always between two choices or two voices. ²Will is not involved in perception at any level and has nothing to do with choice. ³Consciousness is the receptive mechanism, receiving messages from above or below; from the Holy Spirit or the ego. ⁴Consciousness has levels and awareness can shift quite dramatically, but it cannot transcend the perceptual realm. ⁵At its highest it becomes aware of the real world and can be trained to do so increasingly. ⁶Yet the very fact that it has levels and can be trained demonstrates that it cannot reach knowledge.” (ACIM, C-1.6:1–7:6)
*Some students of the Course believe that we do not have an identity in God because “consciousness is not real”.
I truly can respect that view and I know that Eastern philosophies have stated that for some time.
If I had not lived the experiences I did and know how hard Jesus and the Holy Spirit worked with me and the patience they had to let me know that I did have an identity that mattered and was valuable I could probably accept that.
And, to tell you the truth, if I simply get consumed into the body of God and lose my identity that would be okay with me.
But I still do not buy it.
I think we move on “as one with God” as Jesus does.
At least for a few million years yet and what comes after I trust with all my heart that we will be prepared for it by a loving and benevolent Father.
What do you think?
