Using Mama’s Christmas Carol, You Got the Power, Mom! By Debra (Debi) Yvonne Simmons
The first thought this week is of Abundance. That means this is how we truly receive Abundance for ourselves and others:
1. Compassion must be used in all things. However, remember that actual assistance cannot be forced on others, nor will it be forced on us. Even though, eventually, we all will receive it.
Jesus teaches in Urtext ACIM that “Responding to ANY form of miscreation with anything EXCEPT a DESIRE TO HEAL (or a miracle) is an expression of this confusion.” Urtext ACIM pg 73
Anything that is not of love is miscreation. To desire to heal is the only way to respond.
Definition for compassion:
sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others.”the victims should be treated with compassion”synonyms:pity · sympathy · feeling · fellow feeling · empathy · understanding · care · concern · solicitude · solicitousness · sensitivity · tender-heartedness · soft-heartedness · warm-heartedness · warmth · love · brotherly love · tenderness · gentleness · mercy ·
We want to have compassion for other’s, and our own, suffering and desire to help. This is done even as we feel this, once we have accepted the Atonement for ourselves.
Sadly, this does not mean that we can “fix” everything. But opening the door to the desire to heal everything, gives Jesus the “go-ahead” to do it “all”, eventually. Or in a matter of time that he knows to be best.
(The following three points are Action.)
2. Just as bashing another cannot be done without putting yourself down, likewise, lifting others in word and deed, and most importantly in our hearts, lifts us as well.
Lack of compassion comes back like a boomerang.
Compassion is never unrewarded. It opens the doors for angels to assist, where they were not able to before.
3. The Original Error, was when Christ thought it possible to Separate from God and earn His disapproval.
A a mother, I know that the Separation could not have occurred and, I know that Jesus will wait, however long he needs to, for us to join him in the Atonement.
Jesus, as the first thought of Christ, made up the blueprints of this world with both, the manifestation of that thought, and its undoing.
4. You are of Christ, who was given “all that the Father has”. Only you can deny yourself of this. Be aware that according to the agreement we made before coming into the physical, we may not see these blessings immediately.
Because we are One, none will be delivered completely, until all accept the Atonement.
It is our responsibility to do this NOW, in as far as possible which, at the very least, would be in faith.
Before we all accept the Atonement, be aware that all are capable of making mistakes.
“Innocence is wisdom, because it is unaware of evil, which does not exist. It is, however, PERFECTLY aware of EVERYTHING, that is true.”
“God Himself is not symbolic; He is FACT. The Atonement, too, is totally without
symbolism. It is perfectly clear, because it exists in light. Only man’s attempts to shroud
it in darkness have made it inaccessible to the unwilling, and ambiguous to the partly
willing.” Urtext ACIM pg. 75
Jesus is able and willing to help us.
“Time is under MY direction, but Timelessness belongs to God alone. In time, we exist for and with each other. In Timelessness, we coexist with God.” pg. 74 Urtext ACIM
Jesus wants to be intimately involved in your life, so he can alter things for your benefit, but you must give him permission.
Summary
Have compassion and the desire to heal foremost in your thoughts in all your comings and goings.
Do unto others what you want done to you, because this is the law of the universe.
The idea that Separation from God could occur is what has brought about all the confusion that humanity is in. Pointing fingers, will not help, it only keeps us in the vicious cycle.
Do not misunderstand this. It does not mean to not call out error.
It means to not blame other’s or something as a means to distract you from your own work of accepting the Atonement.
In God there is no such thing as lack. Make your desire known to Jesus and then, get out of the way and it will be brought to you.
We can do this. Let’s do it sooner, than later!
Till next time, God bless, Namaste~
