Freedom basics as presented by our Savior, Jesus Christ, are autonomy.

2: self-directing freedom and especially moral independence

He said we are to love others as we love ourselves so we must have a self to begin with that we might give up entirely to God, the Father.
Two, altruistic

Definition of ALTRUISM

1: unselfish regard for or devotion to the welfare of others
2: behavior by an animal that is not beneficial to or may be harmful to itself but that benefits others of its species

Examples of ALTRUISM

  1. A few skimpy corporate pensions were paid, but they were offered as much as departure incentives designed to promote business efficiency as expressions of altruism. —W. Andrew Achenbaum, Wilson Quarterly, Spring 2006

One cannot be truly free if others are imprisoned, we are all one on some level after all. It is here on earth that we seek to be one in psyche and thought, word, and behavior as well as spiritually or an eternal body. To seek the “consciousness” of intelligence or non-body alone is to go backwards in the possibility of our evolution. I say this with no dis-respect for the many who pursue that ultimate through meditation, but I fear it truly is denying our potential as children of God and that we have been called to.

Third, complete dependence…on God, the Father. He is our creator our Heavenly Father. He is the source of all our power. Without him we have and are nothing. Even though we be eternal beings and a part of the “whole consciousness” if you will, without God we can do nothing even though it may seem in life as if that is not so.

These are too hard to encompass in this lifetime you may say and I would disagree. My walk has allowed me to develop these traits and rely solely on God for my existence and well being. I have also learned how distinct is each of our “parts” if you will. One might have mastered a concept intellectually and not done so emotionally or physically. Likewise in any opposite direction. This may be what takes a life time. To master them spiritually is to have oneself attached to the source of light and life, to God himself, as well as increase our awareness of our connection to all else in God’s creation. While in this life they will be continually tested and under attack also. One cannot compare oneself to another, though we can be inspired by or misled by others and vice versa.

It is a magical, challenging, beautiful journey and plan with angels attending as we seek with our whole hearts the mind and will of God.
