My thoughts* on Workbook Lesson 229, for August 16, 2024. GOD, WHO IS LOVE, created me and IS WHAT I AM.

Love, which created me, is what I am.

* GOD, WHO IS LOVE, created me and IS WHAT I AM.

1. I seek my own Identity, and find It in these words: “Love, which created me, is what I am.”

* Not nice how God is removed from the equation, or so the trickery of the ego mentality would have you believe. Love’s definition is beyond the teaching of the Course it says, and yet, this lesson suggests that we do know what it is and what it means to us. Hmm.

²Now need I seek no more.

³Love has prevailed.

* God has prevailed.

⁴So still It waited for my coming home, that I will turn away no longer from the holy face of Christ.

* …That I would turn away from myself as His Son.

⁵And what I look upon attests the truth of the Identity I sought to lose, but which my Father has kept safe for me.

* My Father IS God. So, you see that the message is there but the simple use of the word love instead of God sends the ego a message that this could not be so.

2. Father, my thanks to You for what I am; for keeping my Identity untouched and sinless, in the midst of all the thoughts of sin my foolish mind made up.

* …Made up about myself and others.

²And thanks to You for saving me from them.

* Thanks to God, Our Father for saving me from those (stories and) thoughts of sin.

³Amen.

Till next time, God bless us EVERY ONE, debi.
