Who we think we are is vital because it creates the environment we experience.
Where we think we are determines our acceptance of “what is” and “what may be.”
It is important to understand that the human being currently functions on two levels at the same time.
The “dream state” where correction must take place is not real but important to the healing that the Sonship requires at this time.
“In God” is where we are in TRUTH.
However, we are not at liberty to see only this and ignore the confusion the convoluted thought processes of the ego have placed us in.
This is a responsibility that EACH of us will eventually face.
Whether in this lifetime, or another.

Be careful of levels in your Course studies. IN GOD is where we ARE but we must undo the entanglements of the ego’s conspiracy against us.
The Lesson:
My true Identity abides in You.
* debi’s true Identity abides in God when debi is in her Right Mind.
1. Father, I made an image of myself, and it is this I call the Son of God.
* A body or form cannot segregate the Son of God out from All That Is. The Son of God is the WHOLE CREATION, not any single (or group) part.
²Yet is creation as it always was, for Your creation is unchangeable.
* I would suggest that you NO try to “imagine” or “define” what that means. Some try to think of it as static, unchanging when the Course says that creation is not going to ever end because God is the One Who started it.
³Let me not worship idols.
* “Idols” are imaginings that I have “given” to the bodies that I see around me that have nothing to do with the vitality of God that is within them and what they ARE.
⁴I am he my Father loves.
* I AM part of the Whole of Creation that Father sees as His Son.
⁵My holiness remains the light of Heaven and the Love of God.
* This is what my ESSENCE IS.
⁶Is not what is beloved of You secure?
* How can I be threatened ~ IN REALITY? Though in the fabricated egoland I can very much be threatened and harmed. Though it is OBVIOUSLY TEMPORARY.
* Here is where you want to be careful not to mix up the levels. We free the Son of God in absolute and complete forgiveness in the undoing of the original error by accepting the Atonement for ourselves. Then we get to undo the hierarchy of needs that has been manifested by the ego-mindedness of eons within the time/space continuum.
⁷Is not the light of Heaven infinite?
* Yes and it is all that truly is but we must correct the confusion at the level at which it was made and that is in the ego mind until all are able to receive the undoing gift of the Atonement.
⁸Is not Your Son my true Identity, when You created everything that is?
* Rhetorical question. Of course, it is!
2. Now are we one in shared Identity, with God our Father as our only Source, and everything created part of us.
* Yes, we are. We receive this at the spirit level in the Atonement.
* Note that this statement is a STATEMENT and not a question. “Now are we one in shared Identity, with God our Father as our only Source, and everything created part of us.”
²And so we offer blessing to all things, uniting lovingly with all the world, which our forgiveness has made one with us.
* That statement is where our higher self recognizes the peace that passes understanding BUT it does not remove us from the actions that we need to take on the egoland level that we currently exist.
