I like to take the time to review how I see things today. Now that I am under the tutelage of the Holy Spirit and not of society.
Knowing Jesus as a young child, I considered myself a Christian most of my life. Today I use the symbols of those many ideologies, but I could not claim any real association.
This is mainly because Christianity sees God and Savior outside of the human being, themselves.
I believe it is an inner journey that should have our greatest focus.
Today I want to reflect on a well known prayer found in Psalm 23.
The Lord is my Shepherd —– A singular companionship; Him and me.
I shall not want —– There are no other needs. Your psychological relationship belongs to Him first. All else is symbolic to lead you to know yourself and that relationship with him.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures —– The only peace to be found is in Him.
He leadeth me beside the still waters —– That is the calm while the storm rages while the confusion of the world rages.
He restoreth my soul —– He reminds me that I am One with God as He IS.
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness —– Yes, by example of self acceptance, compassion, and gratitude.
For His name sake —– For the Son of God that you are. Just being has value.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death —– Acknowledgement of where we are as physical manifestations of the confusion.
I will fear no evil —– This is awareness that only God IS.
For Thou art with me —– Because nothing else is possible. That is Atonement.
Thy rod and Thy staff comfort me —– Rod and staff are both tools of the shepherd for guiding the sheep. So, the guidance of the Holy Spirit brings comfort.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies —– My enemies are those thoughts that make me think I am not in and of God, that believe He is separated from me or I from Him. He gives me food for thought by the power of the Holy Spirit to strengthen my witness that there is no separation between God and humanity.
Thou annointest my head with oil —– This identifies that you are chosen. That you are the one he has confidence in.
My cup runneth over —– I am blessed to over-flowing because I am His and He is mine.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life —– I am able to walk in confidence that I am in His hands and in His care.
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord —– Confidence, again to know that nothing can separate me from God and his shelter and protection.
Forever —– There is no other truth or reality.
What is most valuable is not what we have, or who we have, in our lives. It is acknowledging that we are in God and nothing in the world of illusion can change that!
This is my witness and testimony on this day before Thanksgiving, the 27th day of November in 2019.
Till next time, God bless, Namaste~
