The Lord comes in his greatness for you and me. It is in repentance that we begin to accept the reality of being children of God. While we are and nothing stops that reality we still must accept it and choose to be his and we do this by our obedience to the laws and choosing to follow Christ. Freedom is found in obedience to the Word of God, not in the lack of it, as the world teaches.
Once we have been made aware of the redemption of Jesus Christ we have a responsibility to share that hope with others. This too, is a component of freedom. It identifies the responsibility that goes with that privilege.
Enoch saw that the whole earth’s population of his time would be destroyed except for Noah and his son’s families. Enoch went beyond weeping, as the Lord had done, and said that he would not be comforted. Then the Lord showed him the rest of the story which included the re-population of the earth and the Redeemer coming in the meridian of time. Through him we may be redeemed from our inability to remember that all that we are is by the power of God, our Heavenly Father.
I am beginning to suspect that repentance and conformity to the law of God is just the beginning of life and what we may be.
