My thoughts* on ACIM Workbook Lesson 274, October 2, 2025. Today Belongs to Love (*GOD). Let Me Not Fear.

Today belongs to love. Let me not fear.

* OK, but I would prefer to say, “Today belongs to GOD, let me not fear.”

* I rest in the presence of GOD breath by breath, moment by moment.

* Joy in existence is my experience and happiness because I know that all will eventually come to know this cannot be taken from me.

* Would I like to experience it ‘in the flesh’ with someone else, sure, but I do not need that for me to have a witness of the truth within me of God’s existence and our united connection to all that is.

1. Father, today I would let all things be as You created them, and give Your Son the honor due his sinlessness; the love of brother to his brother and his Friend.

* This means that I am able to have respect for all that I meet and show them courtesy as the moment presents itself.

* I understand “his Friend” to be referring to the ‘united and highest level of communion and communication that we share’ which would be in our place one with another in SPIRIT. Commonly referred to as the Holy Spirit, but I see that (Holy) as being a misunderstanding of those who have scribed (written) the teachings of Jesus.

* In the Course in Miracles, Jesus makes it clear that “wholly” is more appropriate and that there is no sin and no need of the hierarchy (better than) that we tend to put on the idea of “holy.”

* That would mean that we are each worthy of the acknowledgment as friends, inasmuch as we are listening to our inner voices and acting from that inspiration.

* Interestingly, this can often be seen more often with strangers because they do not have a devotion to past recollections with us, unless, of course, they have had difficult experiences overall.

* I could say that I have seen this change a bit since we have social media, the internet, and fake news that has maybe caused us to have prejudgments on people overall.

* And, I do acknowledge that there are parts of our collective race that have been the target of derogatory attitudes that have left them fearful and willing to attack in a more obvious way. And then there are the other demographics that divide us, economics, education, yada-yada.

* To bring us back to what Jesus was saying here, “Father, today I would let all things be as You created them, and give Your Son the honor due his sinlessness; the love of brother to his brother and his Friend.” In other words, we can let go of that which divides and see ourselves through the eyes of the Creator and with the ‘energy’ of the creation that we are, which is LOVE.

²Through this I am redeemed.

* Redeemed could be seen as restored to the original identity of our creation in the Mind and Will of Heavenly Father.

³Through this as well the truth will enter where illusions were, light (*understanding) will replace all darkness (*confusions and delusions thought to be real due to the belief in separation from said LOVE and Heavenly Father), and Your Son will know he is as You created him.

2. A special blessing comes to us today, from Him Who is our Father.

²Give this day to Him, and there will be no fear today, because the day is given unto love.

* AH, and there is the truth of it all!!! “Give this day to Him, and there will be no fear today, because the day is given unto love.”
