18. How Is Correction Made?
1. Correction of a lasting nature,—and only this is true correction,—cannot be made until the teacher of God has ceased to confuse interpretation with fact, or illusion with truth.
* The world must get it through its head that it does NOT exist until GOD IS PRESENT.
* Does this mean that I should not be speaking to what is going on in the world, or that I cannot dream an impossible dream if I feel SPIRIT takes me there? I do not think so. Time will tell. Even in our dreams, we are finding our way back to God.
* The point made here is that arguing with the pupil, who would not have realized that xyz is not real, is to make it even more real to them and the teacher risks losing himself to that idea again.
* ONLY working from within the understanding of the Atonement, can someone be certain of the correct course because GOD IS GUIDING. IN FACT, GOD IS DOING IT FOR US, WE JUST HAVE TO SIT BACK AND ENJOY THE RIDE LIKE IN AN AUTOMATIC DRIVING CAR. Patiently petitioning for God’s Reality that we might seek His answers to undoing the errors we see before us. Otherwise, we join them in making them appear real, and insist that GOD IS NOT REAL.
³Depression is then inevitable, for he has “proved,” both to his pupil and himself, that it is their task to escape from what is real.
⁴And this can only be impossible.
* IF they believe what they “see” that is in opposition to God and Love AS REAL.
⁵Reality is changeless.
⁶Magic thoughts are but illusions.
* YES, that means that all that we have created outside of God is not real, but it still needs to be addressed where we think it occurred here in the dream.
⁷Otherwise salvation would be only the same age-old impossible dream in but another form.
* It has to be wiped clear of your belief in it and then you move forward in God and trust ONLY HYMN.
⁸Yet the dream of salvation has new content.
⁹It is not the form alone in which the difference lies.
2. God’s teachers’ major lesson is to learn how to react to magic thoughts wholly without anger.
* Don’t think you will not have emotion about the “magic” that you see. You simply NO LONGER see it as real.
* This does not mean that if you break your leg, you will not feel the pain in the physical either, you simply know that it does not belong to reality but is part of the Plan of Salvation. Yep, been there, done that.
²Only in this way can they proclaim the truth about themselves.
³Through them, the Holy Spirit can now speak of the reality of the Son of God.
⁴Now He can remind the world of sinlessness, the one unchanged, unchangeable condition of all that God created.
⁵Now He can speak the Word of God to listening ears, and bring Christ’s vision to eyes that see.
⁶Now is He free to teach all minds the truth of what they are, so they will gladly be returned to Him.
⁷And now is guilt forgiven, overlooked completely in His sight and in God’s Word.
* When you forgive the original error.
* Funny, I just saw that a political book on the Biden Administration was given that name, “Original Error.” The energies that do NOT want THIS truth to come out will do whatever they can to distract and drown out or dilute the possibility for us to hear what is the ONLY THING that will set us free. It is laughable when you think about how they are trying to mess with God.
3. Anger but screeches, “Guilt is real!”
²Reality is blotted out as this insane belief is taken as replacement for God’s Word.
³The body’s eyes now “see”; its ears alone can “hear.”
⁴Its little space and tiny breath become the measure of reality.
⁵And truth becomes diminutive and meaningless.
* That truth being that GOD IS.
⁶Correction has one answer to all this, and to the world that rests on this:
⁷You but mistake interpretation for the truth.
⁸And you are wrong.
⁹But a mistake is not a sin, nor has reality been taken from its throne by your mistakes.
¹⁰God reigns forever, and His laws alone prevail upon you and upon the world.
* “And upon the world” means the world exists, contrary to how some students and self-proclaimed teachers have interpreted the Course.
¹¹His Love remains the only thing there is.
¹²Fear is illusion, for you are like Him.
4. In order to heal, it thus becomes essential for the teacher of God to let all his own mistakes be corrected.
²If he senses even the faintest hint of irritation in himself as he responds to anyone, let him instantly realize that he has made an interpretation that is not true.
³Then let him turn within to his eternal Guide, and let Him judge what the response should be.
* THIS HAS BEEN INTERPRETTED TO MEAN THAT YOU ARE IN “PEACE” AND CONTENT TO BREAK A LEG AND NOT CRY AND THAT IS BULLSHIT!!!!!
* That is parlor magic, self-hypnosis, denies God, and is NOT what Jesus is teaching here.
* All it means is that you know that what is contrary to God is not real, but that it must be dealt with, and you look to God to know how to best handle the given situation by acknowledging Father and listening to SPIRIT within.
* I am doing my best to allow you to see how that looks by what I share. It is all to be taken with a grain of salt or seen as something that you embrace or not because you have ALL THERE IS in knowing Father LIVES and because HE DOES you do as part of His Son.
* Making “Christ” the “star of the show” it paved the way for the belief that one people could rule over another when it is God that needs to be recognized for ALL.
⁴So is he healed, and in his healing is his pupil healed with him.
⁵The sole responsibility of God’s teacher is to accept the Atonement for himself.

* Did you catch that?
⁷When this has been accomplished, the teacher of God becomes a miracle worker by definition.
* THIS MEANS THAT THE WORK CONTINUES. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT SOME HAVE SAID WE HAVE NOTHING AT ALL THAT WE CAN DO? Don’t ask me to explain that, I just know that this is how it has been taught for over 45 years.

* “Undoing of errors,” by forgiving the original error of separation from God and each other, not to mention from self. Then:
⁸His sins have been forgiven him, and he no longer condemns himself.
⁹How can he then condemn anyone?
¹⁰And who is there whom his forgiveness can fail to heal?
* BECAUSE HE HAS SEEN GOD IN THE PRESENCE OF THE SON AND VICE VERSA.
