My thoughts* on A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 110, I am as God Created Me

I am as God created me.

* Not as I created me or my parents, or even as society did!

1. We will repeat today’s idea from time to time.

²For this one thought would be enough to save you and the world, if you believed that it is true.

³Its truth would mean that you have made no changes in yourself that have reality, nor changed the universe so that what God created was replaced by fear and evil, misery and death.

⁴If you remain as God created you fear has no meaning, evil is not real, and misery and death do not exist.

* THIS is the understanding that the Atonement brings you to because you forgive EVERYTHING that comes out of the belief in separation and that belief as well.

* Then you walk in GOD’S GUIDANCE BY SPIRIT and no longer worry about “forgiveing” but about having HEALTHY BOUNDARIES.

* There is a HUGE difference here from how A Course in Miracles has been taught these past fifty years it has been on the planet!

2. Today’s idea is therefore all you need to let complete correction heal your mind, and give you perfect vision that will heal all the mistakes that any mind has made at any time or place.

²It is enough to heal the past and make the future free.

³It is enough to let the present be accepted as it is.

⁴It is enough to let time be the means for all the world to learn escape from time, and every change that time appears to bring in passing by.

* You are able to let go of needing to correct individuals or situations. That does not mean you do not have an opinion about them or that you do not voice them, it means YOU do not get tangled up in the convoluted story that the ego=god mentality has put in a situation!

3. If you remain as God created you, appearances cannot replace the truth, health cannot turn to sickness, nor can death be substitute for life, or fear for love.

* This means that you KNOW what is real and what is not real, even though you will have to “experience” it for a time.

²All this has not occurred, if you remain as God created you.

³You need no thought but just this one, to let redemption come to light the world and free it from the past.

* And this comes as you recognize that GOD IS ALL THAT COULD BE OR EVER WAS TRULY REAL.

4. In this one thought is all the past undone; the present saved to quietly extend into a timeless future.

* IF YOU TAKE GOD OUT OF EXISTENCE AS STUDENT TEACHERS OF THE COURSE HAVE FOR FIFTY YEARS, YOU WILL NOT UNDERSTAND ANY OF THIS. BEING AS GOD CREATED YOU SHOULD MEAN THAT YOU ACCEPT GOD’S REALITY BUT THIS IS NOT THE WAY THE COURSE HAS BEEN TAUGHT. THOUGH THE EGO=GOD MENTALITY HAS HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO GET INTO THE PSYCHE OF HUMANITY AND CONVINCE THEM GOD IS AN ENEMY.

²If you are as God created you, then there has been no separation of your mind from His, no split between your mind and other minds, and only unity within your own.

* This is something that I am only now beginning to understand.

* Without an acceptance that GOD IS. That HE ALONE is the Original and Universal Creator, you WILL BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE GOD. And that is NOT true. YOU are HIS SON as a part of creation.

* The ego=god mentality has had fifty years to play with these concepts and will drag down those who do not recognize FATHER. It is on the world stage today.

5. The healing power of today’s idea is limitless.

²It is the birthplace of all miracles, the great restorer of the truth to the awareness of the world.

³Practice today’s idea with gratitude.

⁴This is the truth that comes to set you free.

⁵This is the truth that God has promised you.

⁶This is the Word in which all sorrow ends.

6. For your five-minute practice periods, begin with this quotation from the text:

²I am as God created me.

³His Son can suffer nothing.

* IN REALITY.

⁴And I am His Son.

* I am a PART OF THE SON OF GOD.

7. Then, with this statement firmly in your mind, try to discover in your mind the Self Who is the holy Son of God Himself.

* If that is not fodder/food for the ego I do not know what is.

8. Seek Him within you Who is Christ in you, the Son of God and brother to the world; the Savior Who has been forever saved, with power to save whoever touches Him, however lightly, asking for the Word that tells him he is brother unto Him.

* THIS GIVES YOU NO RIGHT TO DICTATE TO ANOTHER WHAT LIFE IS OR HOW TO EXPRESS IT, THOUGH MANY HAVE USED THIS TO JUSTIFY IN THEIR MINDS DOING SO.

* You are a PART OF CHRIST and what that means is that we are EACH EQUALLY the Son of God and Guided by God through SPIRIT WITHIN. THIS means that we each need to THINK FOR OURSELVES AND CHOOSE GOD or ego to serve and listen to because we will listen to one or the other. There is NO OTHER WAY TO EXIST in reality or illusion because of what WE ARE.

9. You are as God created you.

²Today honor your Self.

* THIS MEANS TO ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR RIGHT TO BE GUIDED BY FATHER THROUGH SPIRIT ACCORDING TO YOUR OWN PACE AND DESIRE.

* Likewise, it means we give the same courtesy to others and leave them to their own devices, IF THEY CHOOSE NOT to UTILIZE THE VOICE OF GOD WITHIN THEM.

* I am speaking of adults here.

* We do not want to “give children space to make errors, but train them up knowing of Father’s EXISTENCE within them and their ability to follow it.

³Let graven images you made to be the Son of God instead of what he is be worshipped not today.

* Okay, this can be tricky where we are “in the transition” as a society right now.

* Graven images are what we have made of those that we have allowed ourselves to believe can tell us who we are or how to exist. That would be “people” in general, and specific “bodies or groups,” therein. In other words, those in authority.

* This does not mean that we are to remove all those in authority because we are existing currently as human beings with bodies that need protection and care.

* It does mean that we will be learning how to establish HEALTHY BOUNDARIES so that ALL are treated EQUALLY and allowed the freedom and abundance that is their right as children of God.

* “Ego=god mentality” has spent the past fifty years telling us that we are “free” in a lot of destructive ways. All this truly does is enslave us and allow those who promote this, a cloak under which to hide inappropriate use of others’ labor and claim there is no wrong doing in this.

* ONLY IN ACKNOWLEDGING A LIVING UNIVERSAL CREATOR AND GOD ARE WE WILLING TO SUBMIT OURSELVES ONCE MORE TO HIS VOICE AND GUIDANCE INSTEAD OF THE REPLACEMENT EGO THAT WE ESTABLISHED IN FATHER’S PLACE AND THROUGH WHICH WE STRUGGLE THROUGH A NIGHTMARE OF LACK, SUFFERING, DEATH, AND SHAME.

⁴Deep in your mind the holy Christ in you is waiting your acknowledgment as you.

* The way this is worded it sounds too much like being “possessed” by something that is not ourselves.

* Rather, deep in your mind, the witness from FATHER through SPIRIT that you are a part of Christ awaits.

⁵And you are lost and do not know yourself while He is unacknowledged and unknown.

* Do you see how it is FATHER that must be recognized before Christ can be? Otherwise, you think you are “all that and a can of beans!”

10. Seek Him today, and find Him.

* Seek FATHER today, and find HYMN. (HYMN because He encompasses male and female and is the ONLY ONE worthy of worship by the Son of God or any part thereof.)

²He will be your Savior from all idols you have made.

* FATHER will be your Savior in the sense that HE ALONE can remind you who you are and that you are worthy and loved in spite of the glittery, horrific, or lacking idol stories you have made.

³For when you find Him, you will understand how worthless are your idols, and how false the images which you believed were you.

* This will be what you have when you find FATHER. OTHERWISE, you have only found a larger costume for the ego to wear.

⁴Today we make a great advance to truth by letting idols go, and opening our hands and hearts and minds to God today.

* Yes! HERE it is CLEARLY STATED.

11. We will remember Him throughout the day with thankful hearts and loving thoughts for all who meet with us today.

* We will remember FATHER with thankful hearts and loving thoughts and share THAT witness with all who meet us by virtue of our remembering.

²For it is thus that we remember Him.

* It will be “AS THE SON OF GOD” that we will see everyone we meet or think of.

³And we will say, that we may be reminded of His Son, our holy

Self, the Christ in each of us:

⁴I am as God created me.

⁵Let us declare this truth as often as we can.

⁶This is the Word of God that sets you free.

* Yes, seeing Christ ONCE you have acknowledged FATHER.

⁷This is the key that opens up the gate of Heaven, and that lets you enter in the peace of God and His eternity.

* YES, and THIS is where I reside. And you may, as well.
