I rest in God.
* Our “resting in GOD” requires work and working together as depicted in the Free Stock Photo I chose today.
* That is the best stress reliever that we have. And the ONLY ONE with Eternal Realities. ONLY IN ACCEPTING GOD’S EXISTENCE DO WE HAVE ETERNAL PEACE.
1. We ask for rest today, and quietness unshaken by the world’s appearances.
²We ask for peace and stillness, in the midst of all the turmoil born of clashing dreams.
* You do not have to accept the negative comments that come into your mind as your own but let them float on by putting your faith and trust in God.
³We ask for safety and for happiness, although we seem to look on danger and on sorrow.
* We ACCEPT that safety and happiness is OURS BECAUSE GOD IS REAL AND FLOWING THROUGH HIS SON.
⁴And we have the thought that will answer our asking with what we request.
* IF WE “REQUEST” IT, WE DO SO FROM A PLACE OF LACK.
* WE NEED TO REST IN GOD AND TRUST HIS PRESENCE IN OUR EXISTENCE.
* NOTHING LESS WILL SUFFICE.
* I watched Gregg Braden’s program “The Lost Gospel of St. Thomas That Changes Everything!”
* In this, he talked about how Thomas said we must pray from a state of “being.”
* It boggles my brain why he cannot take it just a step further and understand that it is NOT FEELING the request accomplished that brings “the rain” or anything else we ask for. It is God’s Presence.
* What will give us the “right amount of rain,” instead of a “flood,” (he’d given an example of indigenous people who could pray rain into being by “feeling” what it felt like to have it be there) will be the willingness and gratitude that God’s Presence is there. Braden even got the gratitude part but he was perhaps afraid to offend by saying GOD MUST BE ACKNOWLEDGED AND WELCOMED.
* THEN, AS WE VISUALIZE “THE FEELINGS” WE WILL HAVE WHEN WE RECEIVE WHAT WE DESIRE, FATHER IS ALLOWED TO SEND IT OR BRING IT IN IT PROPER AMOUNTS.
* THIS IS WHY WE ARE GOING TO HAVE PEACE SOON, BECAUSE ENOUGH INDIVIDUALS ARE GOING TO BE WILLING TO ACKNOWLEDGE FATHER AND IMAGINE A WORLD LIVING PEACEFULLY, EXCHANGING IDEAS, SERVICES, AND MERCHANDISE, IN FAIR ENERGY EXCHANGE.
* Our “REST” in Father comes with our gratitude for HIS Presence, AND the Guidance HE Gives us through SPIRIT.
2. “I rest in God.”
²This thought will bring to you the rest and quiet, peace and stillness, and the safety and the happiness you seek.
* Yes, if you are willing to know that GOD IS. Interestingly, it won’t be forced on you. 
³“I rest in God.”
⁴This thought has power to wake the sleeping truth in you, whose vision sees beyond appearances to that same truth in everyone and everything there is.
* The understanding of this grows inside of me and is revealed to greater and greater depths.
⁵Here is the end of suffering for all the world, and everyone who ever came and yet will come to linger for a while.
* Why would they linger? To shine the light on the truth that GOD IS.
⁶Here is the thought in which the Son of God is born again, to recognize himself.
3. “I rest in God.”
* Today, I see “resting in God” as an active acknowledgement of HYMN and HIS CONCERN AND LOVING GUIDANCE OF HIS SON.
²Completely undismayed, this thought will carry you through storms and strife, past misery and pain, past loss and death, and onward to the certainty of God.
* IT IS, IS, IS, IS, “IS,” the CERTAINTY OF GOD OR IT IS NOTHING.
³There is no suffering it cannot heal.
⁴There is no problem that it cannot solve.
⁵And no appearance but will turn to truth before the eyes of you who rest in God.
4. This is the day of peace.
²You rest in God, and while the world is torn by winds of hate your rest remains completely undisturbed.
* BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT GOD IS. THIS IS YOUR CONFIDENCE. THIS IS YOUR STRENGTH.
³Yours is the rest of truth.
* BECAUSE GOD “IS.”
⁴Appearances cannot intrude on you.
* Illusions will not “get the best of you” because you listen to SPIRIT’s Promptings.
⁵You call to all to join you in your rest, and they will hear and come to you because you rest in God.
⁶They will not hear another voice than yours because you gave your voice to God, and now you rest in Him and let Him speak through you.
* Are you “feeling” the ACTION in the rest of GOD?
* If not, stop a moment and still your thoughts to see what SPIRIT says within.
5. In Him you have no cares and no concerns, no burdens, no anxiety, no pain, no fear of future and no past regrets.
* BECAUSE YOU ARE WALKING IN, THROUGH, AND AS HYMN. NOPE!
* RATHER AS A PART OF HIS SON FROM WHOM FATHER FLOWS.
* THIS MAY SEEM TRIVIAL BUT IT IS NOT, IT IS REAL AND IMPORTANT TO YOUR PERSONAL WITNESS OF YOUR OWN SALVATION.
²In timelessness you rest, while time goes by without its touch upon you, for your rest can never change in any way at all.
³You rest today.
⁴And as you close your eyes, sink into stillness.
* STILLNESS IN THE SENSE OF SHUTTING OUT THE WORLD’S IDEAS OF WHAT YOU ARE OR SHOULD BE, LISTENING TO GOD ONLY. WELL, ACTUALLY, YOU LISTEN TO OTHERS THROUGH THE EARS AND EYES THAT FATHER GIVES YOU THROUGH SPIRIT.
⁵Let these periods of rest and respite reassure your mind that all its frantic fantasies were but the dreams of fever that has passed away.
* THESE ARE NOT “PERIODS” BUT A LIFESTYLE WE EMBRACE BY KNOWING GOD IS.
* DO NOT VISIT THIS “REST” FOR A BIT AND THEN SHUT GOD OUT OF YOUR AWARENESS AND GO ON WITH YOUR LIFE BECAUSE THAT IS NOT LIFE IT IS, IN FACT, DEATH BECAUSE IT DENIES WHAT AND WHO YOU ARE.
⁶Let it be still and thankfully accept its healing.
⁷No more fearful dreams will come, now that you rest in God.
* Do you hear this? It is a PERMANENT AWARENESS.
⁸Take time today to slip away from dreams and into peace.
* DON’T DO IT FOR A “TIME.” IT IS A WAY OF LIFE.
* IT IS UNDERSTANDABLE THAT IT WAS WRITTEN AS IT HAS BEEN BECAUSE THE PEOPLE WHO’S MINDS THE MESSAGE WENT THROUGH HAD NOT AS YET ACCEPTED THAT GOD IS GOD. THE ONE ORIGINAL UNIVERSAL CREATOR AND NOT JUST A “SUGAR DADDY” WE CAN RUN TO WHEN WE WANT TO. And they may not have accepted His Reality at all, except sporadically.
6. Each hour that you take your rest today, a tired mind is suddenly made glad, a bird with broken wings begins to sing, a stream long dry begins to flow again.
²The world is born again each time you rest, and hourly remember that you came to bring the peace of God into the world, that it might take its rest along with you.
7. With each five minutes that you rest today, the world is nearer waking.
* I am sorry but it you only take five minutes to believe in God and then go back to unbelieving you have not understood what is here.
²And the time when rest will be the only thing there is comes closer to all worn and tired minds, too weary now to go their way alone.
* Hear that, because that is what we must do NOW. It MEANS simply to BE IN GOD. HOW COULD WE BE ANYTHING ELSE?
³And they will hear the bird begin to sing and see the stream begin to flow again, with hope reborn and energy restored to walk with lightened steps along the road that suddenly seems easy as they go.
* You will walk with a “lighter step” when you walk in FATHER and allow HYMN to Guide your steps, your thoughts, and your words.
8. You rest within the peace of God today, and call upon your brothers from your rest to draw them to their rest, along with you.
²You will be faithful to your trust today, forgetting no one, bringing everyone into the boundless circle of your peace, the holy sanctuary where you rest.
* SERIOUSLY, YOU WILL CARRY THE WHOLE OF CHRIST WITHIN YOU WITH EVERY DREAM AND DESIRE FULFILLED IN FATHER’S PRESENCE.
³Open the temple doors and let them come from far across the world, and near as well; your distant brothers and your closest friends; bid them all enter here and rest with you.
9. You rest within the peace of God today, quiet and unafraid.
²Each brother comes to take his rest, and offer it to you.
³We rest together here, for thus our rest is made complete, and what we give today we have received already.
⁴Time is not the guardian of what we give today.
⁵We give to those unborn and those passed by, to every Thought of God, and to the Mind in which these Thoughts were born and where they rest.
⁶And we remind them of their resting place each time we tell ourselves, “I rest in God.”
* YOU LITERALLY HOLD THE WHOLE WORLD AND THE WHOLE OF THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF CHRIST WITHIN YOU IN SAFE KEEPING WHEN YOU REMEMBER THAT GOD IS OUR FATHER AND WE ARE WITH HYMN ETERNALLY.
