1. Who is the light of the world except God’s Son?
* What makes him the light? KNOWING that he IS a part of the body of Christ.
* THAT means that it is Awareness of God that is the LIGHT.
* I am God’s LIGHT in the world.
²This, then, is merely a statement of the truth about yourself.
* This is misleading even while it is true, and it is how those who wanted rulership over others manipulated the teachings of Jesus to say that God ordained or gave permission to rulership instead of self-governing.
³It is the opposite of a statement of pride, of arrogance, or of self-deception.
* Yes, even the energy of God that is most closely related to HYMN in our world of form, sensuality, is denied and cast onto the physical world when, in fact, it belongs to spirituality.
⁴It does not describe the self-concept you have made.
* “It” being the fact that we are the light of the world.
⁵It does not refer to any of the characteristics with which you have endowed your idols.
* It would be really easy to say that the energy of sensuality does not belong to us as a part DIETY but that is is solely that which was given to the physical body by the Son in his imagining of separation BUT I FEEL VERY STRONGLY THAT THIS IS NOT THE CASE AND THAT OUR SENSUALITY IS MORE IN LINE WITH OUR FEELINGS IN THE PRESENCE OF FATHER THAN THE ABUSIVE REPUTATION IT HAS OBTAINED IN THE WORLD OF THE PHYSICAL.
* By this I am not suggesting the sexual behaviors become a part of spiritual ritual. I am stating that the sensations are not to be feared but to be given over to SPIRIT to teach us their appropriate application.
⁶It refers to you as you were created by God.
⁷It simply states the truth.
* Indeed! And I feel that sensuality is a part of our truth as well.
2. To the ego, today’s idea is the epitome of self-glorification.
* Because without acknowledging God IT WOULD BE.
²But the ego does not understand humility, mistaking it for self-debasement.
* This can be challenging to get at first because of how we have been misled by the propaganda surrounding the teachings of Jesus. To see him up as a King, separates us from him, from God, and from ourselves.
* You cannot have or even desire humility WITHOUT acknowledging God.
³Humility consists of accepting your role in salvation and in taking no other.
* This is where I question myself about being on “X.” Will I spread myself too thin. Will I lose track of that fact that I have chosen to be a voice for God and speak from my emotional ego residue, leaving people confused? Will I put my two cents in where it has no business because I do not have all the facts? At the same time, I DO LISTEN TO THE ONE WHO HAS THE ONLY FACTS THAT MATTER AND THAT IS FATHER, THROUGH SPIRIT WITHIN ME.
* I want to help where Father Directs me to but… I don’t want to lose the purpose of my role in the healing of Consciousness. I have to learn to trust that the Voice for God is not only for me but for all and that I have a right to speak as a part of the Sonship of Christ.
* As I look into moving to a new location, I do so while reviewing what I understand about how to exist in Heaven while in the presence of those who insist that the illusion is real. I must be careful not to smile too much or to express an opinion or frustration at anything because that disturbs the illusions “false sense of peace.” You know, “Makin the best of a bad situation.”
* Thankfully Father has given me the web where I am able to express myself and will do so till I am no longer able. Angels surround me while I do what Father has asked of me and when I have done what I am supposed to here in this lifetime, I will return to spirit for a new assignment. 
⁴It is not humility to insist you cannot be the light of the world if that is the function God assigned to you.
⁵It is only arrogance that would assert this function cannot be for you, and arrogance is always of the ego.
* Arrogance because you are telling the Creator what you were created for.
3. True humility requires that you accept today’s idea because it is God’s Voice which tells you it is true.
²This is a beginning step in accepting your real function on earth.
³It is a giant stride toward taking your rightful place in salvation.
⁴It is a positive assertion of your right to be saved, and an acknowledgment of the power that is given you to save others.
4. You will want to think about this idea as often as possible today.
²It is the perfect answer to all illusions, and therefore to all temptation.
³It brings all the images you have made about yourself to the truth, and helps you depart in peace, unburdened and certain of your purpose.
5. As many practice periods as possible should be undertaken today, although each one need not exceed a minute or two.
²They should begin with telling yourself:
³I am the light of the world.
⁴That is my only function.
⁵That is why I am here.
⁶Then think about these statements for a short while, preferably with your eyes closed if the situation permits.
⁷Let a few related thoughts come to you, and repeat the idea to yourself if your mind wanders away from the central thought.
6. Be sure both to begin and end the day with a practice period.
²Thus you will awaken with an acknowledgment of the truth about yourself, reinforce it throughout the day, and turn to sleep as you reaffirm your function and your only purpose here.
³These two practice periods may be longer than the rest, if you find them helpful and want to extend them.
7. Today’s idea goes far beyond the ego’s petty views of what you are and what your purpose is.
²As a bringer of salvation, this is obviously necessary.
³This is the first of a number of giant steps we will take in the next few weeks.
⁴Try today to begin to build a firm foundation for these advances.
⁵You are the light of the world.
⁶God has built His plan for the salvation of His Son on you.
* Guide me FATHER, I will to do what you would have me do and not do what you would have me not do.
* That might include not allowing myself to be a pawn in someone’s story of harm to themselves or others. Hmm.
