My thoughts* on A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 56, From the Atonement You KNOW What is Real and What Isn’t

Our review for today covers the following:

1. (26) My attack thoughts are attacking my invulnerability.

* Accepting the atoning forgiveness of the original belief in separation from God releases your belief in that fake world of terror that Christ THINKS he has made.

²How can I know who I am when I see myself as under constant attack?

³Pain, illness, loss, age and death seem to threaten me.

⁴All my hopes and wishes and plans appear to be at the mercy of a world I cannot control.

* I have to be honest and admit that all these things stare me in the face within the nightmare Christ has imagined. But there is a part of me INSIDE that knows better.

* A part that knows that “GOD IS” and nothing harmful could be real in the Son that Father Loves while HE IS WITH hymn. (Lower case “hymn” is male and female, however they manifest, in worshipful remembrance of Father.)

⁵Yet perfect security and complete fulfillment are my inheritance.

⁶I have tried to give my inheritance away in exchange for the world I see.

* Remember the story of the stew that Isaac made for Esau? This is the meaning of that story. Believing my needs were met outside of me I thought (Yes, I think it within the illusion I still PLAY a role in.) I needed to be, do, have, or something to make me worthy or acceptable in someone else’s eyes.

⁷But God has kept my inheritance safe for me.

* God’s Eyes are the Ones that matter. For ONLY GOD IS, right!?!!!

⁸My own real thoughts will teach me what it is.

* It is a place that no one can take in the Mind and Will of the CREATOR and THAT is really EVERYTHING and truly ALL that there could be.

* My “own real thoughts” are those that know that this is so.

2. (27) Above all else I want to see.

* The scribes did not say it, and I do not hear student/teachers of A Course in Miracles saying it but I will, I WANT TO SEE GOD.

²Recognizing that what I see reflects what I think I am, I realize that vision is my greatest need.

* IT IS IMPORTANT that I understand that I AM GOD as is EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING ELSE.

³The world I see attests to the fearful nature of the self-image I have made.

* A place in which I have no part. That I will NEVER be “good enough” or “trim enough” “intelligent enough” or “rich enough” to be worthy of common human decency, respect, courtesy, and trust. “TRUST” so that I may have a voice in my sphere of influence without being seen as “a threat” or “a clown.”

⁴If I would remember who I am, it is essential that I let this image of myself go.

⁵As it is replaced by truth, vision will surely be given me.

* I DO see the Truth. I also get “flashbacks” that feel like they are in the “now” of what I thought I was when I believed in separation. I need to remember that what I know is bigger than the memories of fears that I know are not a part of who I am or who my children are or who anyone is. We are ONE SONSHIP IN CHRIST Who Is All of Creation and is HELD WITHIN the MIND and WILL of GOD ETERNALLY.

⁶And with this vision, I will look upon the world and on myself with charity and love.

* Note, “charity and love.” Two concepts on the SAME COIN. Charity is not the have’s giving to the have-nots because there could be no such thing in God’s Mind.

* Charity means EQUALITY when used by Jesus. I will look upon the world and SEE EQUALITY and the Remembrance of God because ONLY IN THIS, DOES LOVE HAVE MEANING.

3. (28) Above all else I want to see differently.

²The world I see holds my fearful self-image in place, and guarantees its continuance.

* NOT WHEN I KNOW THAT IT IS FAKE. Others may try to keep me there and my role in the Universal Plan of Salvation may need to play it out this way but that does NOT MEAN that it is REAL in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM. 😉

* I AM ABLE TO KNOW THIS WITHIN ME. 😊

³While I see the world as I see it now (*AS REAL, AS REAL, AS REAL), truth cannot enter my awareness.

* Come on, folks! Most of us grew up with Grimm’s Fairy Tales! We know what is real and what is not!

* Or do we? Those tales were told to us to help keep us in line and, for most of us, safe.

Let’s face it, there really are some out there who are hell bent on playing out the evil role to the max and choose to forget or refuse to remember who we are in God.

* Those tales tapped into our fear base and with it came the idea that “MAYBE WE ARE NOT SAFE.”

* What Jesus is telling us is that through the atoning forgiveness of the Atonement we ALLOW GOD TO BE REAL TO US ONCE MORE. IT IS GOD WHO FREES US AS HE LIVES THROUGH US, NOT AS A DICTATOR BUT AS A FATHER WHO DESIRES TO BLESS HIS SON/CREATION.

* We want to let go of the need to control how that presents itself. And we learn how to do this by the Guidance of Father through the inner voice that is SPIRIT.

⁴I would let the door behind this world be opened for me, that I may look past it to the world that reflects the Love of God.

4. (29) God is in everything I see.

²Behind every image I have made, the truth remains unchanged.

* The world and everything else IS REAL IN GOD THE ONE ORIGINAL UNIVERSAL CREATOR.

³Behind every veil I have drawn across the face of love, its light remains undimmed.

⁴Beyond all my insane wishes is my will, united with the Will of my Father.

⁵God is still everywhere and in everything forever.

⁶And we who are part of Him will yet look past all appearances, and recognize the truth beyond them all.

* WHICH IS:

5. (30) God is in everything I see because God is in my mind.

* It might be better said, “GOD IS MY MIND.” Once we can accept that HE TRULY IS ALL THAT IS. The Son makes errors at this time and needs to own that so they may be corrected.

²In my own mind, behind all my insane thoughts of separation and attack, is the knowledge that all is one forever.

* ONENESS SHARED AMONG MANY TO THE DELIGHT OF ALL.

³I have not lost the knowledge of Who I am because I have forgotten it.

⁴It has been kept for me in the Mind of God, Who has not left His Thoughts.

⁵And I, who am among them, am one with them and one with Him.

* Yes, Thank You, GOD.
