My thoughts* on Manual for Teachers (ACIM) #5 TRUST

My comments are based on what I understand on 15th of January 2025.

I. Trust

* Where do you suppose the trust of a teacher of God would need to be?

* Do you realize how few people are willing to acknowledge Him? EVEN those who profess to serve Him in religions of all sorts, including in A Course in Miracles?

* I suspect a lot of the confusion has come because of the misconception that Jesus is God or that there is no form that is eternal therefore the concept of God’s Son is illogical. And that would be true, unless one understands with a mind willing to step out of traditional understanding that GOD, the ONE ORIGINAL and UNIVERSAL CREATOR of All That Is or Ever Could Be is more of an idea than a person or thing.

* From our place in a body that seems almost beyond understanding. It is nonetheless what Jesus teaches in A Course in Miracles.

1. This is the foundation on which their ability to fulfill their function rests.

* Trust in God, the ONE ORIGINAL and UNIVERSAL CREATOR.

* Which would include the understanding of the EQUALITY of the many dimensions and parts of His ONLY Begotten Son. The ONLY ONE ‘CONSEPT’ Father Acknowledges.

²Perception is the result of learning.

* Perception is how we see things.

* Noun; the ability to see, hear, or become aware of something through the senses:

• “the normal limits to human perception” the state of being or process of becoming aware of something through the senses: “the perception of pain”

a way of regarding, understanding, or interpreting something; a mental impression:

“Hollywood’s perception of the tastes of the American public” · “we need to challenge many popular perceptions of old age”

• intuitive understanding and insight:

““He wouldn’t have accepted,” said my mother with unusual perception”

the neurophysiological processes, including memory, by which an organism becomes aware of and interprets external stimuli.

³In fact, perception is learning, because cause and effect are never separated.

⁴The teachers of God have trust in the world, because they have learned it is not governed by the laws the world made up.

* THIS, my loves, is why we are able to stay in the world even when we can see the absolute insane way that it perceives itself.

⁵It is governed by a power that is in them but not of them.

* In other words, there is a world that we are a part of that we have not realized or understood as yet. And this is what the Atonement is needed for to open the gateway to the understanding that will set us free.

⁶It is this power that keeps all things safe.

* “Safe” even though we (outside of the Atonement) think that things are different.

⁷It is through this power that the teachers of God look on a forgiven world.

* YES.

2. When this power has once been experienced, it is impossible to trust one’s own petty strength again.

²Who would attempt to fly with the tiny wings of a sparrow when the mighty power of an eagle has been given him?

³And who would place his faith in the shabby offerings of the ego when the gifts of God are laid before him?

⁴What is it that induces them to make the shift?

* Gosh, if I need to clarify those statements you just don’t “get it.”

* Whether I speak as “I” or “we” it is the same since we are all a part of the United Consciousness that is Creation and seen by Father as His Son.

* These are my thoughts as I seek to express my understanding of these things at this time. I acknowledge that they are a “mushy mess,” but I have to start somewhere.
