My thoughts* on Workbook Lesson 339 for December 3, 2024. I will receive whatever I request.

I will receive whatever I request.

* Maybe not in the form that we had anticipated but able for us to see our cup over-flowing as we see with the eyes of SPIRIT.

1. No one desires pain.

²But he can think that pain is pleasure.

* This is where so many of us are as we have become accustomed to the traditions of ego and succumb to the distractions that the ego devises to keep us from knowing what we are doing to ourselves.

³No one would avoid his happiness.

⁴But he can think that joy is painful, threatening and dangerous.

* Good grief!!!

⁵Everyone will receive what he requests.

⁶But he can be confused indeed about the things he wants; the state he would attain.

* There is no joy in being able to fix everybody’s ailments or woes unless it would be that they might be able to see Father as having relieved them. To claim we have done it is to have claimed something that we are not, for we truly are the “effects” of the Father.

⁷What can he then request that he would want when he receives it?

* To claim credit for xyz unto ourselves, and not to Father, we lose ourselves, addict the other to something that is not real and deal with an impossibility instead of REALITY which IS FATHER.

⁸He has asked for what will frighten him, and bring him suffering.

⁹Let us resolve today to ask for what we really want, and only this, that we may spend this day in fearlessness, without confusing pain with joy, or fear with love.

2. Father, this is Your day.

²It is a day in which I would do nothing by myself, but hear Your Voice in everything I do; requesting only what You offer me, accepting only Thoughts You share with me.

* AMEN
