My thoughts* on Workbook Lesson 316 for November 10, 2024. *What I Give to Others or Extend to Others I Receive Myself

All gifts I give my brothers are my own.

* That means that what I give to others or extend to others I receive myself.

* If I extend forgiveness and awareness of their place in the Sonship of Christ, along with the fact that they are in a confused state and CAN MAKE MISTAKES, even from their state of INNOCENCE, I also receive this and am able/open to receiving assistance from Father, the Original, Universal Creator God.

1. As every gift my brothers give is mine, so every gift I give belongs to me.

²Each one allows a past mistake to go, and leave no shadow on the holy mind my Father loves.

* The PHRASING of This is very MISLEADING.

* It suggests that it is possible to forgive one mistake at a time as if there have been many, or that God would have allowed many errors to occur BEFORE giving correction to the situation. I know what I am saying sounds goofy but, please, hear me out. We must forgive one “seeming-real error” to release all else from the place of reality in our minds.

* The “shadow” is the possibility of recurrence, or the IDEA of reality of error and not something that God’s Reality overcomes or is “bigger- than.”

³His grace is given me in every gift a brother has received throughout all time, and past all time as well.

* This statement could be understood to mean that all is removed with the decision.

*The “WHOLE CONCEPT” may have been too large or frightening for Helen or Bill to receive. It does come through though if you look at the Course as a whole.

⁴My treasure house is full, and angels watch its open doors that not one gift is lost, and only more are added.

* This remind me of the concept that ‘creation has not stopped’ even though Christ has seemed to have had ‘momentary’ confusion.

⁵Let me come to where my treasures are, and enter in where I am truly welcome and at home, among the gifts that God has given me.

2. Father, I would accept Your gifts today.

²I do not recognize them.

³Yet I trust that You Who gave them will provide the means by which I can behold them, see their worth, and cherish only them as what I want.

* WOULD THIS NOT BE WHY WE ARE ASKED TO GIVE GRATITUDE IN ALL THINGS?

Till next time, God bless, debi.
