* Warning, Possible Triggers, ha, make that ‘probable triggers.’
I trust my brothers, who are one with me.
1. Trusting your brothers is essential to establishing and holding up your faith in your ability to transcend doubt and lack of sure conviction in yourself.
* This is bullshit, the way the ego understands it.
* I suspect scribal error or scribal intent to change “Trusting in God” to “Trusting your brothers.”
* You CANNOT trust Christ today in His stupor of sleep that has Him believing in separation from God and His own non-existence.
* The rest I do support as truth.
²When you attack a brother, you proclaim that he is limited by what you have perceived in him.
³You do not look beyond his errors.
⁴Rather, they are magnified, becoming blocks to your awareness of the Self that lies beyond your own mistakes, and past his seeming sins as well as yours.
2. Perception has a focus.
²It is this that gives consistency to what you see.
* When Love is all that we want to see, Love will be all that we see. That is a loose quote from the Course. Remember that Love IS GOD manifested, regardless of how it appears in its Truth. That is not the same as the love that the ego shows which is set on your destruction as all of the intentions of that which believes you are capable of sin and worthy of death.
³Change but this focus, and what you behold will change accordingly.
* When you want to see only God, that is what you will see.
⁴Your vision now will shift, to give support to the intent which has replaced the one you held before.
⁵Remove your focus on your brother’s sins, and you experience the peace that comes from faith in sinlessness.
* You do not have to say, “This never happened.” “You say this never happened in REALITY because God IS Who He Says He Is.”
* You place your belief in God above your belief in SIN.
⁶This faith receives its only sure support from what you see in others past their sins.
* What is “past their sins” is shown to you by the Holy Spirit and that is Christ, the Son of God a part of which YOU MUST BE ALSO.
⁷For their mistakes, if focused on, are witnesses to sins in you.
⁸And you will not transcend their sight and see the sinlessness that lies beyond.
* You must be willing to release your brother from sin if you would be released. THIS is how we are truly saviors one to another.
3. Therefore, in practicing today, we first let all such little focuses give way to our great need to let our sinlessness become apparent.
²We instruct our minds that it is this we seek, and only this, for just a little while. ³We do not care about our future goals. ⁴And what we saw an instant previous has no concern for us within this interval of time wherein we practice changing our intent. ⁵We seek for innocence and nothing else. ⁶We seek for it with no concern but now.
* This is such a piece of ‘cheeky bullshit.’ IF you take it to mean that you do this every time you come across something that you need to forgive.
* It applies ONLY if it is given to the whole idea of belief in separation from God, the Father by the Son of God thereby freeing ALL subsequent results of that belief from being thought of as real.
4. A major hazard to success has been involvement with your past and future goals.
* This is a major hang-up for us until we reach that state where we ‘give up’ because there is little more that we can do.
²You have been quite preoccupied with how extremely different the goals this course is advocating are from those you held before.
³And you have also been dismayed by the depressing and restricting thought that, even if you should succeed, you will inevitably lose your way again.
* Do not get caught up by this and if you are beyond it accept that and continue reading to see what the Holy Spirit will yet reveal to you.
5. How could this matter? ²For the past is gone; the future but imagined. ³These concerns are but defenses against present change of focus in perception. ⁴Nothing more. ⁵We lay these pointless limitations by a little while.
* Bear in mind that the Holy Spirit will use the past and the future to teach us how to step out of the entanglements that belief in separation from God has left us with even once we have accepted the Atonement.
* And the past will still come up.
* I recently came to understand that while I “got laid” like I wanted to for him I was the “tits” that the “current attention of his heart did not have” (Not that either of them really knew it or even know it now.) and the “crotch” that he had not tended to quite the way he should have. Will I ever get him to see this (or any) body as the gift from God to him that Father intends(ed) it to be? Who knows! Who even cares?
* THIS is how THIS WORLD that does not accept God’s Presence does NOT EXIST. I do not know how to explain it any further.
* In a way, what happens is NONE of MY business. I am blessed right here, right now, because I know that as a part of the Sonship that is Christ, I have all that is. That IS MY TRUTH AND NOTHING THIS WORLD OF CONFUSION DOES OR DOES NOT DO MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE TO THAT.
* AND do NOT underestimate the fact that I got LAID! Lol
* It was wonderful because of the attention that he gave to it. I was a NOBODY to him and his “naturally giving nature” was allowed to come through without thoughts of the future so I got the best of what he had to offer at that time. IMAGINE what it could be IF he accepted his own innocence and mine and believed that God GAVE HIM HOLY INSTANT BY HOLY INSTANT and that he did not have to be the responsible one and think about all the sins we were committing! Lol, oh my!
* I saw only God’s expression of Love for me and I was grateful. That was because I was not in a place of guilt and torment.
* I hope this frees up others because it truly is a beautiful thing that God has given us in expressing our Oneness WITH HIM (God) in each other.
* I, “personally”, believe that the reason we want to have one significant other (at least at a time ~ define that for yourself, I won’t judge but the Holy Spirit will let you know if you are doing what is right for you. Do not let anyone else be your judge.), is because it truly is the Whole Representation of God that we want to experience in the One Significant Partner.
⁶We do not look to past beliefs, and what we will believe will not intrude upon us now.
⁷We enter in the time of practicing with one intent; to look upon the sinlessness within.
* Amen.
* Do you see how each of us have our own responsibility to exist WITHIN ourselves and not by society’s or history’s permission do we exist as we currently are living?
* Careful with this next section. You are giving up the ego identity that you have believed in right? So, let the Spirit direct you in all things, moment by moment, including your emotions.
6. We recognize that we have lost this goal if anger blocks our way in any form.
²And if a brother’s sins occur to us, our narrowed focus will restrict our sight, and turn our eyes upon our own mistakes, which we will magnify and call our “sins.”
³So, for a little while, without regard to past or future, should such blocks arise we will transcend them with instructions to our minds to change their focus, as we say:
⁴It is not this that I would look upon.
⁵I trust my brothers, who are one with me.
* Once you are walking in the Spirit THIS goes out the window because there is a lot of cleanup to do in the psyche of the Sonship.
* Make sure that it is the Holy Spirit that you listen to and you will be able to move forward. Otherwise, you will just be spinning your wheels in an ego cycle that can seem very comfortable for a while, and still be the antithesis of Joy or True Peace in God’s Reality.
7. And we will also use this thought to keep us safe throughout the day.
²We do not seek for long-range goals.
* NO? We are only seeking for Eternal Life NOW. Do you see how the mind that brings forth the message will be able to misalign the message? I don’t care if you do not believe me. I am bearing my testimony of God and His Son as I understand them by the power of the Holy Spirit.
³As each obstruction seems to block the vision of our sinlessness, we seek but for surcease (*to stop) an instant from the misery the focus upon sin will bring, and uncorrected will remain.
* Surcease = noun, archaic, NORTH AMERICAN ENGLISH
1. cessation: “he teased us without surcease”
* This is something that gets overlooked. “and uncorrected will remain.” = Focus on sin AS IF IT WERE REAL, IF UNCORRECTED WILL REMAIN.
* This does not mean that we will not have to clean up the errors that the belief in separation have left us with.
8. Nor do we ask for fantasies. ²For what we seek to look upon is really there.
* The Son of God and His Innocence in ourselves and all that is IS what is “really there.”
³And as our focus goes beyond mistakes, we will behold a wholly sinless world.
⁴When seeing this is all we want to see, when this is all we seek for in the name of true perception, are the eyes of Christ inevitably ours.
* “The eyes of Christ become to be understood as our own. Because He is who we are AD A WHOLE WITH ALL THAT IS.
* Our addiction and familiarity with the concept of separation make this next sentence seem to suggest that Christ is something beyond or outside of what we are. This is understood to be incorrect when looking at the whole of Jesus’ teachings both in the Course and elsewhere.
⁵And the Love He feels for us becomes our own as well.
⁶This will become the only thing we see reflected in the world and in ourselves.
* This sentence mushes the idea of Father and Son and one needs to understand that it is God from Whom ALL originates, especially Love. It is important to understand this or we LOSE the SENSE of RELATIONSHIP between the FATHER and the SON ALONG WITH OUR BRETHREN. These relationships are critical to our well-being, establishing the EXISTENCE of our inner BEING.
9. The world which once proclaimed our sins becomes the proof that we are sinless.
* When seen through the eyes of the Holy Spirit.
²And our love for everyone we look upon attests to our remembrance of the holy Self which knows no sin, and never could conceive of anything without Its sinlessness.
* Teachers of the Course who suggest we can give love without the assistance of the Holy Spirit do not hear what is being taught here. We do not do it on our own and never could because in that sense that “we” does not exist. ONLY in God’s Existence and the direction of the Holy Spirit do we exist in truth.
³We seek for this remembrance as we turn our minds to practicing today.
⁴We look neither ahead nor backwards.
* We let go of our need to identify anything as real and let the Holy Spirit direct us.
⁵We look straight into the present.
* Meaning that we must look ONLY with the eyes and ears of the interpretation from the Holy Spirit for all we experience, Holy Instant by Holy Instant. ~ This means seeing only God, the Father, and His Son in perfection and innocence as REAL.
⁶And we give our trust to the experience we ask for now.
* We “give our trust to the” Godhead, which is the ONLY THING that we want to consider as REAL.
⁷Our sinlessness is but the Will of God.
* And NOTHING COUNTERS the Will of God.
⁸This instant is our willing one with His.
* Can you accept this?
* ONE Holy Instant leads into another. You need experience nothing else no matter what may appear in your experience if you understand and eventually, KNOW that this is the ONLY Truth that there could be.
