Today I learn to give as I receive.
* I know that God gives me EVERYTHING that I truly want or need just as I am able to receive it, and that the Holy Spirit bears witness to this in my day to day existence. Breath by breath.
²The knowledge that you are a mind, in Mind and purely mind, sinless forever, wholly unafraid, because you were created out of love.
* THIS is the witness that you receive when you understand and accept the Atonement. It embodies the Whole of Christ and not only one individual so that you ‘SEE’ that this applies to everyone and everything that is or may have been in your life, as well. And everything else beyond time, space, dimensions, galaxies, and any other term you want to give ‘being.’
³Nor have you left your Source, remaining as you were created.
* God is right here IN OUR FORM even though we are NOT FORM, because God is in ALL things.
⁴This was given you as knowledge which you cannot lose. ⁵It was given as well to every living thing, for by that knowledge only does it live.
2. You have received all this. ²No one who walks the world but has received it. ³It is not this knowledge which you give, for that is what creation gave. ⁴All this cannot be learned. ⁵What, then, are you to learn to give today? ⁶Our lesson yesterday evoked a theme found early in the text. ⁷Experience cannot be shared directly, in the way that vision can. ⁸The revelation that the Father and the Son are one will come in time to every mind. ⁹Yet is that time determined by the mind itself, not taught.
* Notice that we already have it. Walking with the Guidance of the Holy Spirit keeps us safe and on a path that brings me and the United Consciousness closer to the Full Presence of God.
3. The time is set already. ²It appears to be quite arbitrary. ³Yet there is no step along the road that anyone takes but by chance. ⁴It has already been taken by him, although he has not yet embarked on it. ⁵For time but seems to go in one direction. ⁶We but undertake a journey that is over. ⁷Yet it seems to have a future still unknown to us.
* The journey IS over. Healing is HERE. We just cling to a past that seems to torture us and go on and on in different scenarios, like a bad soap opera.
* The Atonement puts us in NOW, in Eternal Life and in communication with God, the Father through the Holy Spirit. It is something that we grow more comfortable with as our trust and confidence in our own ability to hear the direction grows.
4. Time is a trick, a sleight of hand, a vast illusion in which figures come and go as if by magic.
²Yet there is a plan behind appearances that does not change.
³The script is written.
⁴When experience will come to end your doubting has been set.
* It DOES NOT say, “When your experience comes to an end.” It is saying the END of DOUBTING is set as when we accept the Atonement.
⁵For we but see the journey from the point at which it ended, looking back on it, imagining we make it once again; reviewing mentally what has gone by.
5. A teacher does not give experience, because he did not learn it.
²It revealed itself to him at its appointed time.
³But vision is his gift.
⁴This he can give directly, for Christ’s knowledge is not lost, because He has a vision He can give to anyone who asks. ⁵The Father’s Will and His are joined in knowledge. ⁶Yet there is a vision which the Holy Spirit sees because the Mind of Christ beholds it too.
* This is where it states that two worlds are seen. See #6 “Here is a joining (that means two) of the world of doubt and shadows made with the intangible (that which is spirit or knowledge alone). The language is a bit confusing, isn’t it?
* I think that sometimes the Spirit prompts scribes to write things in ways that float under the radar of those who would alter it as it goes to the masses.
6. Here is the joining of the world of doubt and shadows made with the intangible. ²Here is a quiet place within the world made holy by forgiveness and by love.
³Here are all contradictions reconciled, for here the journey ends.
* THIS is where you simply reside in God and there are those upon the earth who may be there and do not even realize it
⁴Experience—unlearned, untaught, unseen—is merely there.
* THIS is what I understand to be ETERNAL LIFE: Experience. We have been taught that we do not exist so well that this TRUTH is easily overlooked.
⁵This is beyond our goal, for it transcends what needs to be accomplished.
⁶Our concern is with Christ’s vision.
* This comes with the forgiveness in the Atonement that sees Christ and his confusion and releases him from its consequences putting a witness God in the picture.
⁷This we can attain.
7. Christ’s vision has one law. ²It does not look upon a body, and mistake it for the Son whom God created. ³It beholds a light beyond the body; an idea beyond what can be touched, a purity undimmed by errors, pitiful mistakes, and fearful thoughts of guilt from dreams of sin. ⁴It sees no separation. ⁵And it looks on everyone, on every circumstance, all happenings and all events, without the slightest fading of the light it sees.
8. This can be taught; and must be taught by all who would achieve it.
* This is why I teach like I do.
²It requires but the recognition that the world can not give anything that faintly can compare with this in value; nor set up a goal that does not merely disappear when this has been perceived.
³And this you give today: See no one as a body.
* His ‘story,’ of which the body is a part, is irrelevant.
⁴Greet him as the Son of God he is, acknowledging that he is one with you in holiness.
9. Thus are his sins forgiven him, for Christ has vision that has power to overlook them all.
* Vision, as you have noticed in the lesson is not knowledge but it is imagination or actually, the ability to see through the eyes of the witness of the Holy Spirit which knows the innocence of Christ.
**Again, the wording gets confusing and corrupted even, but the message is still there if you have faith in God’s Existence and your ability to discern with the help of the Holy Spirit.
²In His forgiveness are they gone.
* In YOUR acceptance of the forgiveness offered in the ATONEMENT.
³Unseen by One they merely disappear, because a vision of the holiness that lies beyond them comes to take their place.
⁴It matters not what form they took, nor how enormous they appeared to be, nor who seemed to be hurt by them.
* PLEASE, HEAR THIS. “⁴It matters not what form they took, nor how enormous they appeared to be, nor who seemed to be hurt by them.”
* You cannot have it both ways. God exists and so does sin. Choose what is real this day!
⁵They are no more.
* This is you, as a part of the Body of Christ, that Jesus is talking about here: “Thus are his sins forgiven him, for Christ has vision that has power to overlook them all.”
⁶And all effects they seemed to have are gone with them, undone and never to be done.
* Release it all, now, along with any idea that they could have been real. PERIOD. REALLY!
10. Thus do you learn to give as you receive.
* The giving and receiving in the Course is purely about forgiveness.
²And thus Christ’s vision looks on you as well.
³This lesson is not difficult to learn, if you remember in your brother you but see yourself.
⁴If he be lost in sin, so must you be; if you see light in him, your sins have been forgiven by yourself.
⁵Each brother whom you meet today provides another chance to let Christ’s vision shine on you, and offer you the peace of God.
* What a lousy way to say that because it does not allow the message to be heard clearly and yet, all it says is that as you greet your brother with forgiveness you offer the forgiveness to yourself and clean the slate of both them and you.
* This does not mean that you will not still be in someone’s ‘story.’ For instance, I am currently in the story of someone who feels that my connection with my fella has taken ~ money out of her pocket ~ and I will get to deal with this in the here and now, even though I know this is not going on.
* Some know that she is thinking goofy, but the only thing they say is, “You can’t make somebody change who they are.” And THEY will let the infringement on my rights or space be overlooked to maintain a “false peace” because the other person makes a bigger fuss than I will. Or has more money than I do. Lol, this is another place where forgiveness is given AND received but it will not change other circumstances. I will need to rely on God to open doors if others get closed. I need to be aware that I am NOT in a safe place within the story where the ego=god mentality thrives or at least believes it does.
11. It matters not when revelation comes, for that is not of time.
* WOW!!! Did you hear this!!!
* Revelation IS NOT of TIME!!!
* Revelation is what happens when you are walking by the witness of the Holy Spirit.
* Things are revealed to you. And, trust me, some things you do not want to see or hear but you must be aware of what is going on to best fulfill the role that you have taken in this temporary world of insanity where the ego=god mentality rules.
²Yet time has still one gift to give, in which true knowledge is reflected in a way so accurate its image shares its unseen holiness; its likeness shines with its immortal love.
* THIS would be my understanding of the miracle. God’s Love witness by Christ while in the flesh and not thereof or not of the flesh.
³We practice seeing with the eyes of Christ today.
* The scribes and editors could not grasp this concept and would not commit to it obviously but we are looking at seeing ourselves as a part of the Body of Christ that we truly ARE.
⁴And by the holy gifts we give, Christ’s vision looks upon ourselves as well.
* The ‘holy gifts’ are the forgiveness of belief in separation from God and all its consequences and the witness that God IS so we will inherit or ‘have’ all that He Is, individually, and as a whole.
