I loose the world from all I thought it was.
1. What keeps the world in chains but your beliefs?
²And what can save the world except your Self?
* YOUR TRUE self as a Son of God, not as the Soul that IS god and capable of functioning on its own without the Power of the Whole Sonship that comes from God.
³Belief is powerful indeed.
⁴The thoughts you hold are mighty, and illusions are as strong in their effects as is the truth.
⁵A madman thinks the world he sees is real, and does not doubt it.
⁶Nor can he be swayed by questioning his thoughts’ effects.
⁷It is but when their source is raised to question that the hope of freedom comes to him at last.
* The source is either ego=god mentality or God, Himself.
2. Yet is salvation easily achieved, for anyone is free to change his
mind, and all his thoughts change with it.
²Now the source of thought has shifted, for to change your mind means you have changed the source of all ideas you think or ever thought or yet will think.
³You free the past from what you thought before.
⁴You free the future from all ancient thoughts of seeking what you do not want to find.
* And the Holy Spirit walks with you to take away the terror of the tangled thoughts that the ego=god mentality brought about. Do not expect this overnight in your sense of time. Rather, trust that it is already done and all is in God’s Capable Hands.
3. The present now remains the only time.
* This is huge! We will be able to see the stories that the ego=god mentality gives to us and we will respond at times but we will also know that God is Eternal in His Perfection and in Love and that those things which appear to be able to harm are going to be transmuted into Love according to the wisdom and Grace of God.
* To watch the story of a loved one seem to add layer upon layer of heartache on itself can be difficult to observe. My only relief is found in the Atonement that tells me that these burdens will not be forever but only until the weight of separation identity becomes so heavy that it is finally given up and Love is allowed into the cracks and apparent ruin of the individual.
* Understanding that time has no true relevance helps as well. It leaves way to understand that it can take many lifetimes to reach that place and there are many of us who have achieved the awakening that will have in their close associations those who will need to experience perhaps a great deal more trauma before they are willing to look at who they truly are and realize that there is no way that they could be so mangled that God would abandon them.
* The light of Love will come to them. This I have the assurance from through the witness of the Holy Spirit. I KNOW it is so because I understand what is real and what is NOT and separation (this has to do with the fluency of Love rather than anything physical) IS NOT A POSSIBILITY!
* I am so grateful to have this lesson to reflect on at this time when another daughter appears to be so lost from this understanding.
* These moments and awarenesses are becoming so poignant that it feels as if we are existing within a multitude of dimensions.
* For those who have awareness granted by the accepted witness of the Holy Spirit, even though it can be so difficult to watch, there is peace that cannot be touched by the confusing chaos of the ego=god mentality.
* Even those who would attempt to keep those who care about them in the clutches of a story that could burst forth in flames at any given moment will NOT have any satisfaction of shaking the Foundation of our FAITH.
²Here in the present is the world set free.
³For as you let the past be lifted and release the future from your ancient fears, you find escape and give it to the world.
* YOUR WITNESS to the Reality of God and His Guidance through the Holy Spirit allows the energetic vibration of the entire United Consciousness that is Christ to be lifted and chips away at the foundation on which others base their belief on separation. We ARE moving in the RIGHT DIRECTION. **I got Spirit chills head to toe when I wrote that. 
⁴You have enslaved the world with all your fears, your doubts and miseries, your pain and tears; and all your sorrows press on it, and keep the world a prisoner to your beliefs.
* Release these through the True Forgiveness of the Atonement and hold the space for those who have yet to release the burdens that accompany the belief in separation from God and one another.
⁵Death strikes it everywhere because you hold the bitter thoughts of death within your mind.
* Death screams at us from every corner of existence in the world of form. Nature holds it before our eyes constantly. But let the Holy Spirit train your ‘mind and eyes’ to see the Love of God in ALL things that you might be comforted and know that death is an impossibility and that you are Loved beyond measure as is the Whole of the Sonship that is Christ/Creation. (no form intended or needed in the ‘mind and eyes’)
4. The world (* that we see through the eyes of the ego=god mentality) is nothing in itself.
²Your mind must give it meaning.
* YOUR THOUGHTS link you up to the world you will see AS REAL because you have the Power given you by God to allow it to be this way, at least temporarily. God has a Witness of YOU that goes beyond faith and into KNOWLEDGE because He KNOWS Who YOU ARE TRULY. The confusion will be cleared up for ALL of us EVENTUALLY and Time will fade without even a memory and only the Love and Glory of God which He Gave to His Son WITHOUT EVER LOSING IT HIMSELF will remain.
³And what you behold upon it are your wishes, acted out so you can look on them and think them real.
* The division that our mistakes and stories place on the world will not overtake the REALITY that IS GOD.
* We are ONE, no matter how many family reunions would prove that we have divided ourselves and created separations that can never be mended or overcome.
⁴Perhaps you think you did not make the world, but came unwillingly to what was made already, hardly waiting for your thoughts to give it meaning.
⁵Yet in truth you found exactly what you looked for when you came.
* This could only be because we truly are of one mind. THIS is the mind that we would ‘give back to God’ and allow Him to show us the world AS HE SEES IT, Unified, Glorified, Beloved, and SPECIAL to Him in every facet, corner, and climb as HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON.
5. There is no world apart from what you wish, and herein lies your ultimate release.
²Change but your mind on what you want to see, and all the world must change accordingly.
* This, “…and all the world must change accordingly.” Because each of us does have the ability to experience all that is through our own individual sight. This is given to us by God and does NOT declare our ISOLATION but our very existence Within and Through the Mind and Will of God. THIS defines our sovereignty and our very existence. Without the understanding that God IS our very reality would, in fact, be ISOLATED but God’s REALITY ALLOWS us to share our worlds one with another. And believe me, these worlds are FILLED with God’s Love for His Son and NOT with the torment that we have imposed on ourselves.
* I am receiving a tremendous witness/understanding/download of the truthfulness of this. How we are INDIVIDUALIZED and SOVEREIGN, yet ONE IN GOD ALONE.
³Ideas leave not their source.
* If God were NOT REAL you WOULD be ISOLATED because of this truth: Idea leave NOT their SOURCE which is YOU. This also declares your sovereign identity unequivocally, and THAT given by God Who does not lose ANYTHING when He Gives but RETAINS All and is thereby EXPANDED. (*Not fed as I have seen it expressed in some of my recent readings. Though I can see how the ego=god mentality would turn the Energy that is Love into a FOOD or ‘commodity’ for that which is Love because its capability for enlarging ITSELF, and all within it, HAS NO BOUNDARIES OR LIMITATIONS.
**Do you see how much opportunity the human race will have to serve its fellowman/brethren by BEING true to itself?)
⁴This central theme is often stated in the text, and must be borne in mind if you would understand the lesson for today.
* In other words, do not take this lightly!
⁵It is not pride which tells you that you made the world you see, and that it changes as you change your mind.
* In other words, to acknowledge the power given to you by God is simply being who you are. To NOT acknowledge God and have Gratitude for this Power is to cut yourself short of not only Power but the blessings of “Relationship” that come with it.
6. But it is pride that argues you have come into a world quite separate from yourself, impervious to what you think, and quite apart from what you chance to think it is.
* PRIDE, unhealthy pride, says YOUR congniscent awareness does not count on your ability to focus on what you believe or what affirms your beliefs as designed by you. It says that you did not do what YOU DID.
²There is no world!
* As YOU see it through ego=god mentality.
* There is a ‘place’ where the healing of the Mind of Christ can be completed, and we can accept it as IF it were real for a time of healing at least. This healing consists not only of humanity but of All Creation.
* Eventually, I suspect that we will find ourselves in a world where ONLY God is seen as real. I actually live there now and His Presence is made known to me and is revealed to me in significant ways by the Holy Spirit all the time.
³This is the central thought the course attempts to teach.
⁴Not everyone is ready to accept it, and each one must go as far as
he can let himself be led along the road to truth.
⁵He will return and go still farther, or perhaps step back a while and then return again.
* We want to be patient with ourselves and with one another. We will each find our way here eventually.
7. But healing is the gift of those who are prepared to learn there is no world, and can accept the lesson now.
²Their readiness will bring the lesson to them in some form which they can understand and recognize.
³Some see it suddenly on point of death, and rise to teach it.
* Whoa, that sounds like a near-death experiencer to me.
⁴Others find it in experience that is not of this world, which shows them that the world does not exist because what they behold must be the truth, and yet it clearly contradicts the world.
* This could cover a great range of experiences that have been recorded.
8. And some will find it in this course, and in the exercises that we do today.
²Today’s idea is true because the world does not exist.
³And if it is indeed your own imagining, then you can loose it from all things you ever thought it was by merely changing all the thoughts that gave it these appearances.
⁴The sick are healed as you let go all thoughts of sickness, and the dead arise when you let thoughts of life replace all thoughts you ever held of death.
* This does not mean that you will not still see the ‘stories’ of the ego=god mentality.
9. A lesson earlier repeated once must now be stressed again, for it contains the firm foundation for today’s idea.
²You are as God created you.
³There is no place where you can suffer, and no time that can bring change to your eternal state.
⁴How can a world of time and place exist, if you remain as God created you?
10. What is the lesson for today except another way of saying that to know your Self is the salvation of the world?
²To free the world from every kind of pain is but to change your mind about yourself.
³There is no world apart from your ideas because ideas leave not their source, and you maintain the world within your mind in thought.
11. Yet if you are as God created you, you cannot think apart from Him, nor make what does not share His timelessness and Love.
²Are these inherent in the world you see?
³Does it create like Him?
⁴Unless it does, it is not real, and cannot be at all.
⁵If you are real the world you see is false, for God’s creation is unlike the world in every way.
* I would suggest that you be careful how you interpret this. Death, suffering, guilt, and shame are not a part of God’s creation but expression, enjoyment, and celebration are. This does not begin to cover what this means but it is a start.
⁶And as it was His Thought by which you were created, so it is your thoughts which made it and must set it free, that you may know the
Thoughts you share with God.
* This is our goal.
12. Release the world!
²Your real creations wait for this release to give you fatherhood, not of illusions, but as God in truth.
³God shares His Fatherhood with you who are His Son, for He makes no distinctions in what is Himself and what is still Himself.
⁴What He creates is not apart from Him, and nowhere does the Father end, the Son begin as something separate from Him.
* These things are where the Holy Spirit will take us experiencially as we allow Him to and we lay aside the fear that we have become addicted to.
13. There is no world because it is a thought apart from God, and made to separate the Father and the Son, and break away a part of God Himself and thus destroy His Wholeness.
* God, Himself is the only thing that gives us fluency or the ability to interact at all, including with any part of what we currently think of as ourselves.
²Can a world which comes from this idea be real?
³Can it be anywhere?
⁴Deny illusions, but accept the truth.
⁵Deny you are a shadow briefly laid upon a dying world.
⁶Release your mind, and you will look upon a world released.
* Careful here. This message came through three minds that did not understand what Jesus was sharing with us. Please REMEMBER that the ‘world’ that you are releasing is that which is separated from God. THIS will REVEAL to YOU God IN ALL THINGS.
* The wording in number 14 should NOT be taken literally so as to deny all existence of anything. Note, “ALONG WITH THEM” “WE ARE IN THE HOME OUR FATHER SET FOR US.” It is simply stating that we cannot exist without God’s Presence not that the world is itself is fully an illusion as has been taught by teachers of the Course for 50 years.
14. Today our purpose is to free the world from all the idle thoughts we ever held about it, and about all living things we see upon it. ²They can not be there. ³No more can we. ⁴For we are in the home our Father set for us, along with them. ⁵And we who are as He created us would loose the world this day from every one of our illusions, that we may be free.
15. Begin the fifteen-minute periods in which we practice twice today with this:
²I who remain as God created me would loose the world from all I thought it was.
³For I am real because the world (*ego=god has convinced us it made) is not, and I would know my own reality.
⁴Then merely rest, alert but with no strain, and let your mind in quietness be changed so that the world is freed, along with you.
16. You need not realize that healing comes to many brothers far across the world, as well as to the ones you see nearby, as you send out these thoughts to bless the world.
²But you will sense your own release, although you may not fully understand as yet that you could never be released alone.
17. Throughout the day, increase the freedom sent through your ideas to all the world, and say whenever you are tempted to deny the power of your simple change of mind:
²I loose the world from all I thought it was, and choose my own reality (* In God, with God, and All of Creation) instead.
