My thoughts* on ACIM Urtext Lesson 111, for April 20, 2024. The MIRACLE is knowing Father and Son have never been separate.

For morning and evening review:

1. (91) Miracles are seen in light.

* The “miracle” as I understand it from the teachings of Jesus is to have the Light of Understanding upon you by the Witness or Voice of the Holy Spirit that God IS and that He gave His Son All That He Is that the Son might find Joy in expressing that in forms and way without number moment by moment Eternally.

* Forgiving the Original Error of belief in Separation from God opens our minds to the Holy Spirit. It releases ALL karma, attachment, and belief in the Reality of Sin and the Permanence of Error.

²I cannot see in darkness.

* I cannot see when there is no light. THIS is the essence of ego-mindedness. God has been removed from the mind’s eye and desertion, lack, chaos, abandonment, betrayal, envy, strife, obsession become the lens through which we see.

* Interestingly, over the ages, humanity has chosen to make ‘gods’ out of various individuals or ideas. Also, we swing from not seeing God to not seeing His Son, who we ARE. The MIRACLE embraces BOTH AS ONE. Father and Son. Communicating through a Connection Band or umbilical tube we call the Holy Spirit because our belief in separation has caused a veil or a sleep to fall over our eyes and we are not currently able to contain the Full Presence of God, nor ourselves. We will be Led and Guided by the Holy Spirit as we turn our thoughts solely to God, the Father, and His Son.

³Let the light of holiness and truth light up my mind, and let me see the innocence within.

* With this comes the understanding that the Son can only be as God created Him, innocent and pure.

* In other words, I can look myself in the mirror and say, “I know who you are.” Outside of all your stories and costumes that you wear in the world of ego I know you.

* I can do this for everyone else as well.

* A smile and charming chit chat do little to help me have confidence in my lover’s affections when I see him smile and hug one that he later tells me he holds in disdain, can’t stand, doesn’t like.

* In ego-mind that is presenting falsely, in the Atonement it would NOT BE AT ALL. Because we know our annoyances are NOT REAL.

2. (92) Miracles are seen in light, and light and strength are one.

²I see through strength, the gift of God to me.

³My weakness is the dark His gift dispels, by giving me His strength to take its place.

* My strength is God, His BEING Releases me from the clutches of my own nightmares and biases.

* I am suspecting that my fella lives there and just doesn’t realize it. EVEN WITH his outward expression that seems to say otherwise., hmm.

I will trust the Spirit in this.
