Let miracles replace all grievances.
*See God with His Son knowing He is okay even in His nightmares.
* I may not be able to take someone out of their nightmare but I can hold space for the truth that they are not that which they fear.
This may be all that I am able to do.
1. Perhaps it is not yet quite clear to you that each decision that you make is one between a grievance and a miracle.
²Each grievance stands like a dark shield of hate before the miracle it would conceal.
³And as you raise it up before your eyes, you will not see the miracle beyond.
⁴Yet all the while it waits for you in light, but you behold your grievances instead.
* Do not think that you will not see the grievances that others hold and how they use them as cloaks and shields to keep the Love of God at bay.
* This gets complicated and quite frankly I am not sure that I have figured it out.
2. Today we go beyond the grievances, to look upon the miracle instead.
²We will reverse the way you see by not allowing sight to stop before it sees.
* Ah, our spiritual sight is being developed! The natural eyes do not give us a full picture. (Remember the picture and the frame analogy within the Text?) The picture is God and His Son the frame is form and circumstance in the physical 3D world.
* We will learn not to stop sight before it sees. In other words, we will look past the form and circumstance of the physical 3D World and see God and His Son communicating and Lovingly Existing Dependent One upon the Other.
³We will not wait before the shield of hate, but lay it down and gently lift our eyes in silence to behold the Son of God.
* We see the “shield of hate” so much clearer when we walk in Spirit but He allows us to see beyond that with our spiritual eyes. AND gives us guidance on how to maneuver within the hate paradigm of another and when it is best to remove yourself physically or otherwise from it.
* My body had been responding as if in reflex to the energy my ‘pal’ was giving out. It startled me the first time it happened because it was so familiar as something that I used to do with my father who would often be drunk and unpredictable in his behavior.
* After several days of this, some more subtle, some outright statements that showed his dissatisfaction, with me letting go each day and letting the Holy Spirit lead me, we were having a conversation where I felt safe to express who I am as a student of the Course and was describing my interpretations of events in attending a Lenten Service (a Christian observation of Lent preparing for the Holy Week prior to Easter) in the community. In so doing I reviewed how I had been received by the locals and I expressed something he had said about what someone else had said that was not typical to her very gentle and positive nature. He declared he would not have said that and in so doing insisted that I was incorrect. I would not allow him to take my understanding just because he did not like how it sounded, and he stuck his finger out at me and declared he would not have said it and that “I was so focused on the Atonement…” I could not allow the torrent of words that would follow to wound me with no hope of clearing the air or finding resolution so I picked up my things and quietly left.
* The hate is not ‘at me’ but at the fact that I am not complying with his ‘costume’ or ‘definition of my existence in his presence’ that he wants me to ‘put on.’ And I can recognize this with the assistance of the Holy Spirit and by that same witness KNOW when I am to leave the vicinity and take myself into my own space.
* I share this not to ‘point fingers’ at him or anyone else but to give a description of what is possible when one allows the Holy Spirit to give you the sight that you need to face the world of confusion that the frightened ego has given us and see that which lies beyond the ‘shield of hate’ so we might continue our work on the earth at this time.
* You must learn to trust yourself and your ability to hear. It is not our role to push others so far outside their comfort zone that we force them to take drastic measures to exist within their current mentality. It is our role to follow the Spirit’s promptings and open the door to the truth by living ours only as long as they are willing to do so.
* You and I do not know ‘their willingness’ but the Spirit does. Likewise, when the Course was being given to Helen and Bill the Holy Spirit knew how much they would allow to remain in the Course that was truth and how long and how much it would take to see that that truth would be evident in the work they left behind and placed into the hands of Kenneth Wapnick.
* It is there. I know this by the witness of the Holy Spirit. I will not ‘defend’ my right to live by that witness but I will live by it to the best of my ability.
* I cannot give it to you. I can only do as Jesus has, and do my best to live by His Witness within me, my story, and my circumstance.
3. He waits for you behind your grievances, and as you lay them down he will appear in shining light where each one stood before.
* To see fear or even the “shield of hate” is not to take on a grievance. To see fear or the “shield of hate” as real, and not acknowledge the truth of the reality of Christ before you is to assume, or take on, a grievance.
²For every grievance is a block to sight, and as it lifts you see the Son of God where he has always been.
³He stands in light, but you were in the dark.
* We enter the ‘dark,’ and this is the “darkness that covers the earth” by accepting that those things we thought gave us reason to have a grievance were “real” and not just a mistake or consequence from the original error of belief in separation from God which could give us separation from ANYTHING within Creation, the Sonship of Christ.
⁴Each grievance made the darkness deeper, and you could not see.
* I am able to see that those things that upset my ‘pal’ are not real but he is not able to do this and so is building a wall of grievance to block the love and respect and fun that we shared with each other for a wonderful brief time.
* I will tell you that ‘it shakes me up’ and it is like I am in shock because the good was so good but the shock will pass and I will be able to move on with my life day by day and moment by moment. Not ruminating in the past but grateful for what was good and knowing that someday that is all that he will see as well.
4. Today we will attempt to see God’s Son.
* It is doable. He stands before you and in the mirror.
²We will not let ourselves be blind to him; we will not look upon our grievances.
* We will not see our stories as real or any amount of mischief in the sphere of the physical or the psychological.
³So is the seeing of the world reversed, as we look out toward truth, away from fear.
* Hooray, for here lies peace.
⁴We will select one person you have used as target for your grievances, and lay the grievances aside and look at him.
⁵Someone, perhaps, you fear and even hate; someone you think you love who angered you; someone you call a friend, but whom you see as difficult at times or hard to please, demanding, irritating or untrue to the ideal he should accept as his, according to the role you set for him.
* Lightweight or powerful emotions, what we claim as real in the storyline of our existence is equal when we see IT as real before the witness of Christ that they truly are.
* Do relationships continue eternally? I am not certain that they do in the way the mortal mind wants to claim it. The only one that I know that stands eternal is that between the Father and the Son.
* After that I believe anything that stems from God’s Love is eternal. I have had to let go of the idea of familial love as Eternal with the spiritual and experiential walk I have taken in this lifetime. But I have NO DOUBT that the Love that I KNOW existed between us all is Eternal and Everlasting BECAUSE I KNOW that God was IN IT.
* I reflect on this with great sobriety as a devout former Christian Mormon (LDS) adult convert of 30 years. It was with great prayer, study, pleading, fasting, counsel, and listening to Spirit that I have arrived at the place that I am.
5. You know the one to choose; his name has crossed your mind already.
²He will be the one of whom we ask God’s Son be shown to you.
³Through seeing him behind the grievances that you have held against him, you will learn that what lay hidden while you saw him not is there in everyone, and can be seen.
* Remember that you will not see him as Christ unless you release all grievance, all attachment to the challenges within the storyline that you have shared.
⁴He who was enemy is more than friend when he is freed to take the holy role the Holy Spirit has assigned to him.
* Do not think that you have to ‘trust him’ with anything at all because he still lives in the witness of his own ‘cloak of grievances’ due to the belief in separation from God.
⁵Let him be savior unto you today.
* Yet, he will be savior as you allow yourself to look past the ‘shield of hate’ that he sets before you and that you set before him and you see the Christ, The Son of God, and All That Is.
⁶Such is his role in God your Father’s plan.
* You will see him not as a ‘perfect individual’ as we have been taught by Christian theology but as THE WHOLE SON OF GOD and ALL THAT IS or EVER WILL BE.
* In other words, you will see him AS GOD SEES HIM.
* Whoa, this is new to me, as well, folks! But it must be so. We cannot see anyone as separate from another if we are to see them as God does. Hmm. I look forward in experiencing that while I take a walk a little later on this beautiful sunny spring day.
6. Our longer practice periods today will see him in this role.
²You will attempt to hold him in your mind, first as you now consider him.
³You will review his faults, the difficulties you have had with him, the pain he caused you, his neglect, and all the little and the larger hurts he gave.
* I do not do this any longer. And neither will you need to.
* The Holy Spirit will ‘show you’ your mutual storyline and the feelings that went with it and it will mutate the story so that it does not sting as it did when you thought it was real.
⁴You will regard his body with its flaws and better points as well, and you will think of his mistakes and even of his “sins.”
* These ‘items’ are only for the very beginning of your walk with Spirit. Once you are willing to recognize Him and allow HIM to CARRY these burdensome memories in the storyline of hatred you will be able to think of others throughout ALL TIME as shadows or illusions that fell over the mind of the Son of God temporarily in a dream due to the imagined belief in the possibility of separation from God and thus among all that is.
7. Then let us ask of Him Who knows this Son of God in his reality and truth, that we may look on him a different way, and see our savior shining in the light of true forgiveness, given unto us.
* Amen, let us ask the Holy Spirit to show us where we are with one another and with God.
²We ask Him in the holy Name of God and of His Son, as holy as Himself:
³Let me behold my savior in this one You have appointed as the one for me to ask to lead me to the holy light in which he stands, that I may join with him.
⁴The body’s eyes are closed, and as you think of him who grieved you, let your mind be shown the light in him beyond your grievances.
8. What you have asked for cannot be denied.
* Please, do not demand a particular form of experience but let it come gently upon you and ask for assistance to endure what you need to understand. Even good change can be traumatic. Be gentle with yourself.
²Your savior has been waiting long for this.
³He would be free, and make his freedom yours.
⁴The Holy Spirit leans from him to you, seeing no separation in God’s Son.
⁵And what you see through Him will free you both.
⁶Be very quiet now, and look upon your shining savior.
⁷No dark grievances obscure the sight of him.
⁸You have allowed the Holy Spirit to express through him the role God gave Him that you might be saved.
9. God thanks you for these quiet times today in which you laid your images aside, and looked upon the miracle of love the Holy Spirit showed you in their place.
²The world and Heaven join in thanking you, for not one Thought of God but must rejoice as you are saved, and all the world with you.
10. We will remember this throughout the day, and take the role assigned to us as part of God’s salvation plan, and not our own.
²Temptation falls away when we allow each one we meet to save us, and refuse to hide his light behind our grievances.
* I look forward to embracing a greater understanding of this.
³To everyone you meet, and to the ones you think of or remember from the past, allow the role of savior to be given, that you may share it with him.
⁴For you both, and all the sightless ones as well, we pray:
⁵Let miracles replace all grievances.
* Amen.

Till next time, God bless, debi.
