My thoughts* on ACIM Urtext Lesson 27, for January 27, 2024. Above all else I want to see.

Above all else I want to see.

* I want to see REALITY, which is Heaven. I choose to see God and know Him and celebrate His existence and Mine WITH Him! THIS IS OUR REALITY and ALWAYS has been.

1. Today’s idea expresses something stronger than mere determination.

²It gives vision priority among your desires.

* Imagine what the world would look like today IF Helen, Bill, and Ken had used Heaven’s construct here! But the world or rather, the Mind of Christ was NOT ready to receive that as yet.

* I truly believe that we are at this time, even with the chaos, challenges, and horrors we see in the world today.

³You may feel hesitant about using the idea, on the grounds that you are not sure you really mean it. ⁴This does not matter. ⁵The purpose of today’s exercises is to bring the time when the idea will be wholly true a little nearer.

2. There may be a great temptation to believe that some sort of sacrifice is being asked of you when you say you want to see above all else. ²If you become uneasy about the lack of reservation involved, add:

* Do you see the convoluted message in these words? This is from the scribes, not from the words of Jesus.

* “²If you become uneasy about the lack of reservation involved, add:” “lack of reservation” ought to say “hesitation” or “uneasy” would have given us the message itself.

³Vision has no cost to anyone.

⁴If fear of loss still persists, add further:

⁵It can only bless.

* We have associated the idea of Heaven with death for so long is it any wonder that we would not be cringing at the thought of reaching Heaven at any time?

3. The idea for today needs many repetitions for maximum benefit. ²It should be used at least every half hour, and more if possible. ³You might try for every fifteen or twenty minutes. ⁴It is recommended that you set a definite time interval for using the idea when you wake or shortly afterwards, and attempt to adhere to it throughout the day. ⁵It will not be difficult to do this, even if you are engaged in conversation, or otherwise occupied at the time. ⁶You can still repeat one short sentence to yourself without disturbing anything.

* I am truly intent on seeing Heaven because I understand today that Heaven could be the ONLY thing that exists because God IS and NOTHING can be outside of Him.

4. The real question is, how often will you remember? ²How much do you want today’s idea to be true? ³Answer one of these questions, and you have answered the other. ⁴You will probably miss several applications, and perhaps quite a number. ⁵Do not be disturbed by this, but do try to keep on your schedule from then on.

* This next blessing is beautiful indeed. I live in the state of mind that Heaven IS real today. Yes, even when things appear to go upside down or I experience physical or emotional pain and so on.

⁶If only once during the day you feel that you were perfectly sincere while you were repeating today’s idea, you can be sure that you have saved yourself many years of effort.

* Yes, thank you, thank you, thank you!
