My thoughts* on ACIM Urtext Lesson 361–365. For 29 December 2023. Our Holy Instant Must Be VERY REAL

This holy instant would I give to You. Be You in charge. For I would follow You, certain that Your direction gives me peace.

* I give God this moment and each one that comes before me since HE is the one Who Created me and my desire is to return to Him in All Ways for Always.

* Side note on the Holy Instant: The problem with achieving “perfection” in anything in this world of form where the frightened ego currently seems to have rule is that those who are “perfectionists” by the frightened ego design will expect to experience that same thing over and over again, OR they will “beat themselves, or the “other” up” and not rely on the FAITH in God that tells them that ALL IS WELL. ( Remember, THIS IS THE PEACE THAT PASSES UNDERSTANDING THAT ONLY THE ATONEMENT CAN GIVE US.)

* It is important to GIVE THANKS in each moment and still (curious to use the word “STILL” with its many meanings of which two I suspect apply here) remember that to have expectations is to risk the temptation of falling victim to the frightened ego.

1. And if I need a word to help me, He will give it to me.

* Also, I can be the “word” another needs to hear or see when I follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

²If I need a thought, that will He also give.

* “Perfectionists” in the mentality of the frightened ego believe that they have the answers to another’s perceived problems in life or how they should experience existence. This is something that God gives to NO ONE except the individual. This means, while you are the “Word of God” in the shadow world of the frightened ego you MUST stay clear of believing YOU are seeing what they need rather than the witness that Spirit gives that there is a “gentler” way and you MUST release them from your judgment or hostility because they do not follow your witness at this time. Jesus has promised us that this witness we share will come to them at a time when they are willing to receive it and it will do as it was meant to in not only God’s Will but yours.

* And do not forget that YOU WILL BE MISTAKEN for being judgmental or the perfectionist and only YOU can know where your heart is by the witness of the Holy Spirit within. Let this be your barometer of being on course and be not affected by another

“physical form’s indication” affect who you know yourself to be.

³And if I need but stillness and a tranquil, open mind, these are the gifts I will receive of Him.

* There is a place of “stillness” when one is pondering the answer to questions one has posed to the Holy Spirit. When one is tranquil one can recognize that the answer is be at peace, all is well. When one is questioning one might consider being openly cautious while moving forward. When one has been told to “stop” or “change course” this will be clear as well. I have experienced this and rely on it for my daily guidance in issues small and large.

⁴He is in charge by my request.

* Amen, and always, in all ways.

⁵And He will hear and answer me, because He speaks for God my Father and His holy Son.

* I am SO GRATEFUL for my recognition of the Holy Spirit in my life!!!
