My thoughts* on ACIM Urtext Lesson 300 for 27 October 2023. It Is Time We Gave Up This Hell We Have Accepted

We are not what we have convinced ourselves that we are and only acknowledging God UNDOES THAT!

Only an instant does this world endure.

* Thank you, God!

1. This is a thought which can be used to say that death and sorrow are the certain lot of all who come here, for their joys are gone before they are possessed, or even grasped.

* I suspect that “grasped’ means before we know what we want.

²Yet this is also the idea that lets no false perception keep us in its hold, nor represent more than a passing cloud upon a sky eternally serene.

* Okay, I will “buy that.” HOWEVER, the moment to moment BS that we get to deal with WITHIN THAT INSTANT SUCKS!!!!!

³And it is this serenity we seek, unclouded, obvious and sure, today.

* This is so much f’n BS! … I suspect it is editorial nonsense!

* Instead of allowing God into the mind of Christ the ego would give him the “tools” to handle the job himself! Isn’t that just like the ego!!!!

* This whole damn Workbook is an extended EGOIC exercise in convincing humanity that IT can DO ANYTHING IF IT SETS ITS MIND TO IT AND HAS THE TOOLS. AND THAT IS WRONG! GOD IS OUR STRENGTH, OUR HOPE, OUR EXISTENCE. IT IS NOT EVEN CHRIST BECAUSE CHRIST HAPPENS TO BE YOU AND ME, AND WE DO NOT HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE EXISTENCE SWEET.

* GOD DOES. AND IT CAN BE OURS TODAY THROUGH THE ATONEMENT AND ONLY THROUGH THAT!

2. We seek Your holy world today.

* Bullshit!

* IF you did you would be acknowledging God and His Son and not some esoteric crap that is nothingness.

²For we, Your loving Sons, have lost our way a while.

* That is for sure!

³But we have listened to Your Voice, and learned exactly what to do to be restored to Heaven and our true Identity.

* THIS is Jesus’s sense of humor in my opinion. He knew that Helen, Bill, nor Ken had a grasp on how to get to Heaven and our true Identity as the Son of God. We do not need to consider this (mine) statement a shameful look at them. THAT would be claiming the “story” to be TRUE! Instead of our existence as one eternal Son of God!

⁴And we give thanks today the world endures but for an instant.

* Forget it ENDURING! It never did and it never could have because God IS. And there could be nothing outside of HIM. Period!

⁵We would go beyond that tiny instant to eternity.

* You CANNOT “go beyond” a tiny instant THAT DOES NOT EXIST! We MAY acknowledge its NON-existence and KNOW that we are eternal beings IN eternity.

* NOTHING ELSE will satisfy the human longing or heal the human heart.
