Please bring a prayer and the Holy Spirit with you. Text is bold type, my comments have asterisk.

An Elder Brother is entitled to respect for his greater experience, and a reasonable amount of obedience for his greater wisdom.

*This would be so because of our current perspective that sees things linearly; in time.

*(God created time so that man could use it creatively and convince himself of his own ability to create. Time is a teaching device, and a means to an end. It will cease when it is no longer useful for facilitating learning.) Urtext page 15, Number 15

*I trust Jesus in his role as our elder brother in time.

He is also entitled to love, because he is a brother, and also to devotion, if he is devoted.

*At this point in time, the late sixties-early seventies, we had a formal understanding of familial devotion to which Jesus was speaking. Today that may be questionable.

It is only my own devotion that entitles me to yours.

*Do you suppose that is where the idea that respect is only given to those who give it comes from? I do not believe that is the way Jesus intended it to be used. He continues to clarify what he meant here.

But you will notice that I have knelt at your altar as readily as I would ever have you kneel at mine.

*This he had done in dream or vision, as I recall, as well as symbolically throughout his and Helen’s relationship.

There is nothing about me that you cannot attain.

*Think of all the attributes we give Jesus: innocent, worthy, beloved. These are our inheritances as well.

I have nothing that does not come from God.

*Jesus acknowledges this. Do we?

The main difference between us as yet is that I have NOTHING ELSE.

*”As yet”, suggests that it is only a matter of time before she (and each of us) will recognize this as well.

This leaves me in a state of true holiness, which is only a POTENTIAL in you.

*The holiness being his witness of only God in himself and in others.

“No man cometh to the Father but by me” is among the most misunderstood statements in the Bible. It DOES NOT mean that I am in anyway separate (or different) from you, EXCEPT IN TIME. Now, we know that time does not exist.

*Which means there is no difference between Jesus and us.

Actually, the statement is much more meaningful if it is considered on a vertical rather than a horizontal axis.

*The statement referred to is that Jesus is worthy of our devotion and love. (His use of the term love is for their benefit in understanding a trusting relationship with Jesus. Helen never did find a way to accept this while in this world.)

Regarded along the vertical, man stands below me, and I stand below God. In the process of “rising up”, I AM higher. This is because without me the distance between God and man is too great for man to encompass.

*Sadly, Helen would have put these words in a “greater than” context. Hence, she said that he had an over-sized ego.

*That last sentence rang of a bit of “you cannot do without me”, which is correct, but only because we are all one. Not because he is greater than, which is what these words would imply.

*What Jesus meant was that at the moment, he was the only one who felt that he was with God the Father, as a part of Christ. This was/is so because it was not until another came along that the real “separation” concept was manifest. Those who came after Jesus were susceptible to fear, guilt, and conflict of mind, because of the sense of separation. Jesus did not have these as the first creation of the Son.

I bridge the distance as an Elder Brother to man, on the one hand, and a Son of God on the other.

*”A” Son of God, not “thee or the” Son of God. I sense a stumbling over the word usage, which is understandable because of Jesus’ unique position among humanity. Obviously only one could be the first. I wonder if the particular usage of words here were Jesus’ or were they Helen’s because her interpretation of His presumed role with us was so strong?

*He is simply a part of the whole. And has a unique position as we all do. His position may give him greater responsibilities, but we are all equally important.

My devotion to my brothers has placed me in charge of the Sonship, which I can render complete only to the extent I can SHARE it.

*Jesus makes the Son of God WHOLE only because he is a PART of it, not because he alone is The Son of God.

This appears to contradict another statement: “I and my Father are one.” It doesn’t. There are still separate parts in the statement, in recognition of the fact that the Father is GREATER.

*Again, we are speaking of time here. And which came first the chicken or the egg? Which came first, the Father or the Son? Contextually, where time and space do not exist, does it matter?

Actually, the original statement was “are of one KIND.”

*Not only are they one of a kind, the Son is within the Father; not separate and outside, as we portray Him in the illusion of the world.

*In the illusive world of time and space we want labels and our forced sense of order. We do not trust God’s existence or our own.

*This discussion holds the vital component that keeps humanity from understanding their true identity. And understandably so, as it would appear that the world as we understand it truly is upside-down, inside-out, and backwards.

Till next time, God bless, Namaste~
